Asentamiento modular en arquitectura flotante

Abstract

The behavior of the population flow, added to the rise in sea level on the Pacific coast of Colombia, results in a critical emergent scenario in the way the space is inhabited, framing the city of Buenaventura as the territory with the greatest impact. The setbacks in the coastline negatively alter the activities that are developed, both economic and social, having an impact on the most vulnerable populations. These populations are currently displaced and forced to live on stilt buildings, the same homes that are being affected by climate change in the accelerated rise in sea level. In the search to improve opportunities for this population, from adaptability strategies, a resilient unit in floating architecture is designed, which has technical and vernacular mechanisms to carry out the project. This is how a modular alternative response is consolidated, which appropriates the dynamics of the place and attributes to a new way of inhabiting the space, guaranteeing the quality of life of the inhabitants and serving as an example for future projects to seek to solve this great problem through of these socio-environmental strategies.
