Irregularidad: una constante en la Liga Femenina de Fútbol de Colombia

Esta investigación indaga sobre La Liga Profesional Femenina de Fútbol de Colombia (LPFFC) entre los años 2017 y 2022, debido a que en este periodo de tiempo el fútbol femenino colombiano se ha convertido en un fenómeno social que ha crecido en la cultura deportiva del país. De esta manera, se han abordado 3 enfoques o temáticas. En primer lugar, está, la caracterización del modelo de negocio de la LPFFC para identificar, desde el análisis de su estructura normativa, posibles falencias. Por otro lado, determinar los criterios de cobertura periodística de la liga, pues se considera que la visibilización del fútbol femenino desde los medios nacionales no ocupa un lugar relevante dentro de las agendas mediáticas. Por último, se examinan las dinámicas deportivas y competitivas de la LPFFC desde una perspectiva social y cultural en el país. La hipótesis planteada parte de irregularidades de la LPFFC en cuanto a la falta de inversión de los clubes, que afecta principalmente a las jugadoras y su desarrollo como profesionales, además de la deficiencia en el modelo estructural de la liga, debido a los cambios de normativa que surgen año a año en cuanto a la organización específica de cada torneo así como la baja inversión por parte de las entidades reguladoras y poca visibilidad del fútbol femenino. A lo largo del proceso investigativo se manejó una metodología cualitativa para demostrar la hipótesis mediante la herramienta de entrevistas a los diferentes actores involucrados.

Abstract

This research investigates “La Liga Profesional Femenina de Fútbol de Colombia” (LPFFC) between the years 2017 and 2022, due to the fact that in this period of time Colombian women's soccer has become a social phenomenon that has grown in the country's sports culture. In this way, 3 approaches or topics have been addressed. First, there is the characterization of the business model of the LPFFC to identify, from the analysis of its regulatory structure and possible shortcomings. On the other hand, to determine the criteria for journalistic coverage of the league, since it is considered that the visibility of women's soccer in the national media does not occupy a relevant place in the media agendas. Finally, the sporting and competitive dynamics of the LPFFC are examined from a social and cultural perspective. The hypothesis is that the LPFFC has irregularities in terms of the lack of investment by the clubs, which mainly affects the players and their development as professionals. The deficiency in the structural model of the league, due to the changes in regulations that come up year after year in terms of number of teams, number of matches and duration of the tournament. In addition, the low investment on the part of the regulatory entities and the low visibility of women's soccer. Throughout the research process, a qualitative methodology was used to demonstrate the hypothesis by means of interviews with the different actors involved.
