Estándares interamericanos de protección del derecho a la salud: un análisis a las decisiones proferidas por los órganos interamericanos durante el periodo comprendido entre los años 1996 y 2013.

Abstract

The research began with the study of petitions and cases that during the years 1996-2013 were processed by the Commission (as reported in their annual reports ), and pronouncements about them made the IACHR; then stopped to identify which of these events corresponded to health situations; step followed focused on the characterization and description of the main lines of inter-American protection of the right to health and finally the analysis of the most significant standards that have been developed by the Inter-American organs or fostered the Universal System of Human Rights Protection. This made it possible to conclude that the existing pronouncements , now allow victims of health in Latin America in the regional system to recognize an alternative interim or permanent guardianship of his right ; and States , reflect on the obligations they hold about health and internal practices that -in this context- could summon to judgments of international responsibility.
