Abstract

The Corin Land Cover methodology as a methodological proposal to characterize natural coverage and modified coverage through anthropic processes in a territory; It is one of the requirements established by the environmental authority of Santander CAS; necessary in the process of updating the Territorial Planning Plans or Schemes of the Municipalities of the area of ​​their jurisdiction; Similarly, within the update of this important territorial development document, the integration of new guidelines is required, such as; the identification of the Main Ecological Structure of the Municipality in its rural and urban aspect through Resolution 1432 of December 10, 2010 Environmental Determinants issued by the CAS, for the preparation, adjustment, revision and / or modification thereof. The Municipality of Carmen de Chucuri as one of the territorial entities that are part of the jurisdiction of the CAS and due to the exceptional review process carried out by its EOT; it requires identifying at the urban level the natural coverage of its territory and the main ecological structure as inputs of great importance; for the development of its territory. The study addresses various analysis factors; in such a way that we can delve into the current development problem that is carried out in the territory, through field research and the application of methodologies, which can be adjusted to the area of ​​study, allowing a detailed analysis of the situation of the Urban helmet; regarding its environmental vulnerability and the proposal of a plan for the improvement of the aspects that present the most criticality.
