| dc.description.abstract | This study analyzed the trends, methodological approaches, and research gaps in the academic literature on the integration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into the business environments of the Pacific Alliance countries during the 2015–2026 period. A systematic literature review based on the PRISMA protocol and a comprehensive search of the Scopus database resulted in the selection of 47 scientific articles, which were analyzed through thematic coding using Atlas.ti software. The findings revealed that scientific production was concentrated primarily during the 2021–2026 period, with Colombia being the most represented country, followed by Mexico, Chile, and Peru. The SDGs most frequently addressed were SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), while the agricultural, mining, and industrial sectors accounted for the majority of the studies analyzed. The analysis identified corporate sustainability as the predominant conceptual approach, although a significant gap remains between strategic integration discourse and the effective implementation of the SDGs within business models. Among the principal research gaps identified were the limited number of empirical studies, the lack of a comparative regional perspective, and the insufficient attention given to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). These findings contribute to systematizing the current state of knowledge on SDGs and business within the Pacific Alliance region, providing a valuable foundation to guide future research in this field. | |
