dc.descriptionEsta propuesta plantea un enfoque explicativo de la relaciones que se pueden presentar entre las instituciones, la calidad de la educación y la violencia en Colombia en el contexto de las nuevas exigencias en materia de educación durante el periodo 2012 - 2015. La teoría del capital humano es el sustento teórico de esta investigación. Varias aproximaciones conceptuales serán tenidas en cuenta para su aproximación a la calidad de la educación. En los temas relacionados con la educación y la violencia se han abordado diferentes enfoques para aproximar el problema con diversas estrategias. La literatura reciente muestran las relaciones entre los niveles de educación a nivel de ciudades y departamentos, estima que los efectos de la educación con calidad reducen los niveles de violencia tanto a nivel de ciudades como de departamentos, utiliza diversas aproximaciones teóricas desde la perspectiva del capital humano para concluir que altos niveles de educación reducen los principales indicadores de la violencia homicida. La pertinencia de la presente investigación, revierte en la necesidad de evidenciar el comportamiento no solo de los resultados y hallazgos, sino, en cómo estos han incidido en la mejora de la calidad y la forma en como ello ha tenido un impacto en el desarrollo de políticas nacionales que promuevan una cultura científica dentro de los principios institucionales que esté a su vez alineado con lineamientos internacionales y los efectos posibles sobre otras variables que pueden estar asociadas con los niveles de educación, por ejemplo posibles interacciones entre las instituciones y la corrupción.spa
