Resumen
El departamento de Cundinamarca es reconocido como el de mayor competitividad y desarrollo de Colombia ( ), no obstante, el avance del turismo termal en el departamento es aún incipiente, caracterizado por bajos niveles de competitividad. ( ).
Por otra parte la inclusión de la comunidad local en esta modalidad de turismo se reduce a la ocupación de puestos de trabajo generados por la actividad, situación que limita el aprovechamiento de la riqueza cultural de las comunidades como medio para mejorar la competitividad del turismo termal del departamento y facilitar el apoyo para la sostenibilidad ambiental en el uso de los recursos naturales en esta actividad.
El objetivo principal es identificar los factores culturales de la comunidad local que tienen mayor impacto en la competitividad y sostenibilidad ambiental en el turismo termal, de los municipios de Choachí-Tabio y Chocontá. Desde la percepción de la comunidad, las empresas termales y los turistas, contribuyendo de esta forma al diseño de estrategias empresariales y políticas públicas para el año 2020.
Como objetivos específicos se pretende:
a) determinar el nivel de impacto de cada uno de los factores culturales de la comunidad local en la competitividad del turismo termal en los municipios de Choachí-Tabio y Chocontá desde la percepción de la comunidad, las empresas termales y los turistas b) determinar el nivel de impacto de cada uno de los factores culturales de la comunidad local en la sostenibilidad ambiental del turismo termal en los municipios de Choachí-Tabio y Chocontá desde la percepción de la comunidad, las empresas termales y los turistas.
El enfoque de esta investigación es cuantitativo, se basa en la revisión de literatura, se construirá un marco teórico, se determinará una muestra representativa, se establecerá una hipótesis y se trazará un plan para probarla, utilizando métodos estadísticos.(Hernández, Fernández, y Baptista, 2014).Tendrá un alcance del tipo correlacional debido a que se realiza un análisis del comportamiento de las variables objeto de esta investigación, para luego determinar la relación entre ellas.

Abstract
The department of Cundinamarca is recognized as the most competitive and developed in Colombia (), however, the advance of thermal tourism in the department is still incipient, characterized by low levels of competitiveness. ().
On the other hand, the inclusion of the local community in this type of tourism is reduced to the occupation of jobs generated by the activity, a situation that limits the use of the cultural wealth of the communities as a means to improve the competitiveness of the thermal tourism of the department and facilitate support for environmental sustainability in the use of natural resources in this activity.
The main objective is to identify the cultural factors of the local community that have the greatest impact on competitiveness and environmental sustainability in thermal tourism, in the municipalities of Choachí-Tabio and Chocontá. From the perception of the community, thermal companies and tourists, thus contributing to the design of business strategies and public policies for the year 2020.
The specific objectives are:
a) determine the level of impact of each of the cultural factors of the local community on the competitiveness of thermal tourism in the municipalities of Choachí-Tabio and Chocontá from the perception of the community, thermal companies and tourists b) determine the level of impact of each of the cultural factors of the local community on the environmental sustainability of thermal tourism in the municipalities of Choachí-Tabio and Chocontá from the perception of the community, thermal companies and tourists.
The focus of this research is quantitative, based on the literature review, a theoretical framework will be constructed, a representative sample will be determined, a hypothesis will be established and a plan will be drawn up to test it, using statistical methods. (Hernández, Fernández, and Baptista, 2014) .It will have a correlational type scope because an analysis of the behavior of the variables object of this investigation is carried out, to later determine the relationship between them.
