El objetivo del presente trabajo fue desarrollar la implementación de la siembra de dos tipos de forraje para la alimentación de 48 ovinos que se encuentran en el centro de investigaciones en pequeños rumiante, proyecto perteneciente a la Fundación Universitaria Juan De Castellanos situada en la clínica veterinaria Francisco de Asís en el municipio de Soracá, departamento de Boyacá
Se implementó la siembra de avena forrajera (avena sativa) y alfalfa (medicago sativa) como alternativa nutricional para 48 ovinos, que por problemas de verano, deficiente manejo en la carga animal y sobre pastoreo, han tenido que alimentar solamente a los semovientes con ensilaje de avena elaborada para tal fin. El aprisco cuenta con dos fanegadas de área productiva, dividida en 8 potreros, de los cuales se tiene destinados 2 potreros para la siembra de avena y 1 para la siembra de alfalfa.
Con el acompañamiento que realice durante la práctica se busca fortalecer la alimentación y nutrición de estos ovinos con avena forrajera y alfalfa, para la obtención de mejores resultados productivos y reproductivos, y por consiguiente económicos; dado que este proyecto no solamente se dedica a la parte de investigación educativa, sino también a la venta de genética y animales en pie para sacrificio.
Abstract
The objective of the present work was to develop the implementation of the sowing of two types of forage for the feeding of 48 ovines that are in the center of research in small ruminants, project belonging to the Juan de Castellanos University Foundation located in the veterinary clinic Francisco . of Assisi in the municipality of Soracá, department of Boyacá
The sowing of forage oats (avena sativa) and alfalfa (medicago sativa) was implemented as a nutritional alternative for 48 ovines, which due to summer problems, poor handling in the animal load and over grazing, had to feed only the animals with Oat silage prepared for this purpose. The sheepfold has two fanegadas of productive area, divided in 8 paddocks, of which 2 are destined for the sowing of oats and 1 for the sowing of alfalfa.
With the accompaniment carried out during the practice, it is sought to strengthen the feeding and nutrition of these sheep with forage of oats and alfalfa, to obtain better productive and reproductive results, and therefore economic; Since this project is not only dedicated to the part of educational research, but also to the sale of genetics and animals on foot for their sacrifice.
