Resumen
El presente trabajo de grado tiene como fin presentar un informe del mercado asegurador realizado durante mi pasantía en el área de planeación y análisis financiera de la región Andes (Colombia, Ecuador y Chile) para Liberty Seguros.
Actualmente el área no contaba con un informe unificado, dinámico y automatizado para analizar el mercado asegurador en los tres países; y es ahí donde se vio una posibilidad de mejora ya que esta información es de gran relevancia para los análisis tanto dentro del área y de la vicepresidencia de finanzas como para otras áreas de la compañía que necesitan revisar y tener a la mano dicha información.
Era importante consolidar esta información histórica desde un año y periodo especifico planteado por el gerente de la vicepresidencia de finanzas, el cual se llegó en que se iba a obtener una data histórica desde el año 2018 en adelante con información trimestral, ya que las super intendencias de los tres países presentan la información de esta manera.
Liberty Seguros cuenta con diferentes líneas de negocio en los cuales se especializa dentro del mercado, pero al ser una región que están involucrados diferentes países, busca diferentes objetivos en cada uno de estos y con ello establecer diferentes líneas de negocio en las cuales puede ofrecer sus productos y ser competencia con respecto a las diferentes compañías con las que se enfrenta.
El objetivo de este informe dinámico es poder ver por país, por trimestre, por año y por las diferentes líneas de negocio como está posicionado Liberty con respecto al mercado y en que posición se encuentra en cada uno de los periodos, con el fin de revisar como ha avanzado la compañía en el transcurso del tiempo.
Este informe se realiza en Excel, debido a que es la herramienta más utilizada en la vicepresidencia de finanzas y es la que el vicepresidente decidió que se hiciera este informe, ya que se había propuesto otra herramienta como Power BI pero esta fue descartada y quedo en común acuerdo utilizar Excel para este informe.
Abstract
The purpose of this degree work is to present a report on the insurance market carried out during my internship in the area of planning and financial analysis of the Andes region (Colombia, Ecuador and Chile) for Liberty Seguros.
Currently, the area did not have a unified, dynamic and automated report to analyze the insurance market in the three countries; and that is where a possibility of improvement was seen, since this information is highly relevant for analyzes both within the area and the finance vice-presidency, as well as for other areas of the company that need to review and have such information at hand.
It was important to consolidate this historical information from a specific year and period proposed by the manager of the vice presidency of finance, which arrived at the fact that historical data was going to be obtained from the year 2018 onwards with quarterly information, since the super intendencies of the three countries present the information in this way.
Liberty Seguros has different business lines in which it specializes within the market, but being a region in which different countries are involved, it seeks different objectives in each of these and thereby establish different business lines in which it can offer its services. products and be competitive with respect to the different companies with which it deals.
The objective of this dynamic report is to be able to see by country, by quarter, by year and by the different lines of business how Liberty is positioned with respect to the market and in what position it is in each of the periods, in order to review How has the company progressed over time?
This report is made in Excel, because it is the most used tool in the vice presidency of finance and it is the one that the vice president decided to make this report, since another tool such as Power BI had been proposed but this was discarded and remained in mutual agreement to use Excel for this report.
