Resumen

El presente proyecto hace parte de un ejercicio de investigación de largo plazo, que busca dar cuenta de la forma cómo se aborda el proceso de evaluación docente al interior de la USTA. Un primer acercamiento se llevó a cabo en el año 2005 con el propósito de revisar y ajustar el modelo de evaluación. En el año 2012 a través un proyecto FODEIN, se pone en discusión y análisis la validez y confiabilidad del instrumento utilizado, teniendo como referente tanto los análisis cuantitativos, como los estadísticos para la comprensión de los diferentes actores que intervienen en la evaluación. Es importante señalar que la evaluación docente estudiantil (EDE) es el método más común usado en las universidades latinoamericanas para evaluar la calidad de la enseñanza impartida por los docentes. Un análisis de metaevaluación se aplicará al cuestionario de la EDE usado por la Universidad Santo Tomás de Bogotá, durante los periodos de 2016-2017. Se realizó un análisis de fiabilidad y un análisis factorial exploratorio para evaluar la validez, confiabilidad y dimensionalidad del instrumento. También, se evaluó la relación entre el desempeño docente y el desempeño estudiantil. Posteriormente, se realizó un análisis de clasificación mixta con el fin de caracterizar los resultados obtenidos a diferentes niveles (divisiones, facultades y docentes).

Abstract

The present project is part of a long-term research exercise that seeks to account for the way in which the process of teacher evaluation within the USTA is addressed. A first approach was carried out in 2005 with the purpose of reviewing and adjusting the evaluation model, and in 2012 through a FODEIN project, the validity and reliability of the instrument used is discussed and analyzed, taking into account referring quantitative and statistical analyzes for the understanding of the different actors involved in the evaluation. It is important to point out that student teacher evaluation (EDE) is the most common method used in Latin American universities to evaluate the quality of teaching provided by teachers. A meta-evaluation analysis will be applied to the questionnaire of the EDE used by the Santo Tomás University of Bogotá, during the periods of 2016-2017. A reliability analysis and an exploratory factor analysis are carried out to evaluate the validity, reliability and dimensionality of the instrument. Also, the relationship between teacher performance and student performance will be evaluated. Subsequently, a mixed classification analysis is carried out in order to characterize the results obtained at different levels (divisions, faculties and teachers). The analysis of these results will allow to observe the main strengths and opportunities for improvement to the teaching performance that the students show through the teacher evaluation during the 2016-2017 period. With this we want to propose strategies for teacher improvement based on the Student Teaching Evaluation to improve the teaching task.
