Resumen
“Todos los hombres tienen por naturaleza el deseo de saber”. Con estas palabras se inicia el libro primero de la Metafísica de Aristóteles. Pero el hombre no se conforma con cualquier idea que dé razón de lo que quiere saber, porque el hombre quiere saber fundamentalmente “la verdad”. Desde que la persona toma conciencia de su ser en el mundo, empieza a preguntarse por todo lo que le rodea y por los fenómenos que le afectan. Es así que se despierta su interés por hallar una explicación que satisfaga este interés natural, y en esa búsqueda se encuentra con múltiples ideas diferentes entre sí que tratan de dar respuesta a una misma pregunta; entonces aparece la pregunta fundamental: ¿cuál es la verdad verdadera? En este ejercicio de reflexión se buscará establecer, a partir del análisis de diferentes postulados filosóficos, una respuesta a esta pregunta, tomando como referencia la investigación agustiniana sobre la verdad y los criterios de su método de investigación filosófica para hacerlo, porque, si bien fue un hombre muy apegado a la fe, fundamenta muy bien su reflexión con una visión racional que de alguna manera resulta más confiable para evitar los sesgos y posiciones completamente dogmáticas.
Abstract
"All men have by nature the desire to know." With these words, the first book of Aristotle's Metaphysics begins. Nevertheless, a man is not satisfied with any idea that gives reason for what he wants to know, because a man fundamentally wants to know "the truth". Since the person becomes aware of his being in the world, he begins to wonder about everything around him and about the phenomena that affect him. Thus, his interest in finding an explanation that satisfies this natural interest awakes, and in that search he finds multiple ideas that are different from each other that try to answer the same question; then the fundamental question appears: what is the true truth? This reflection exercise will seek to establish, from the analysis of different philosophical postulates, an answer to this question. I will be taking as reference the Augustinian investigation on the truth and the criteria of its philosophical research method to do so, because, although it was a man very attached to the faith, he bases his reflection very well on a rational vision that in some way is more reliable to avoid biases and completely dogmatic positions.
