Abstract

This report details the activities carried out during the internship at SILEX S.A.S, which lasted 4 months and totaled 608 hours, where functions typical of a resident auxiliary engineer were performed. These functions primarily included supervising road improvements and drainage works, reviewing plans, and controlling personnel and machinery—activities essential for the execution of the project that meets the needs of the local population. The document begins with an introduction that describes the context of the internship and the main objectives. Next, it details the activities performed, addressing each of the functions carried out during the internship period. Subsequently, it includes an analysis of the impacts generated by the work and during the development of activities as an intern. Finally, it concludes with the results obtained from the work performed. The work conducted on the Arcabuco-La Palma road in Gámbita demonstrates the interest in applying the knowledge acquired to ensure compliance with the fundamental processes of a road project, in addition to serving as preparation for future job opportunities in the profession. During the internship, significant challenges were faced that tested problem-solving and teamwork skills. Constant interaction with engineers and other professionals in the field was essential for learning about best practices in project execution, as well as understanding the importance of effective communication and coordination among the various stakeholders involved in the project.
