El presente libro recoge los resultados obtenidos en la investigación financiada por la Dirección de Investigación e Innovación de la Universidad Santo Tomás y la Escuela de Posgrados “Miguel Antonio Lleras Pizarro” de la Policía Nacional (Espol), intitulada Reconstrucción de la memoria histórica de la Policía: el ataque a la población de Mitú, departamento de Vaupés, cuyo interés atendió a dos propósitos: 1) analizar los testimonios de los sobrevivientes de la toma, en especial de los policías y de pobladores del municipio de Mitú. Y 2) analizar las narrativas, las disputas y los usos del pasado para entender los sentidos y significados tanto del ataque como de la violencia armada.
Abstract
This book brings together the results of the research financed by the Santo Tomás University Research and Innovation Department and the "Miguel Antonio Lleras Pizarro" Postgraduate School of the National Police (Espol), entitled Reconstruction of the historical memory of the Police: the attack on the town of Mitú, department of Vaupés, which had two aims: 1) to analyse the testimonies of the survivors of the takeover, especially those of the police and the inhabitants of the municipality of Mitú. And 2) to analyse the narratives, disputes, and uses of the past in order to understand the meanings and significance of both the attack and the armed violence.
