Abstract

During the author's internship period, in a civil works consulting and auditing company, issues related to public contracting of private companies with the state were recognized, consolidated, and mastered.

State contracting is a fundamental part not only for the nation and its ordinary citizens. Private companies of different economic activities use state contracting as a means of financing their companies, in some cases it becomes an exclusive means, as is often the case with civil engineering companies where, in general, their economic benefit depends only on the contract you get with the state. This is why the commercial area is important within civil engineering companies, they are a fundamental pillar on which the economy of the company is based, its type of specialized activities to be developed and where the first stages of planning of each project are born.

This document presents in a general way the activities, lessons learned and recommendations that were obtained during the author's performance of business internships in a civil engineering company, in the commercial area. It is then intended to offer an overview of the company in which the autor worked, its processes within the commercial area, among other important and enriching characteristics related to state contracting by private companies.
