En este trabajo, fue posible demostrar la importancia que tiene el es-
tudio del juicio político y su relación con el Congreso de la República,
en la medida en que el ejercicio de ser gobernante exige establecer una
relación de afinidad con esta institución o, al menos, contar con un
apoyo mayoritario de los partidos políticos. Por esta razón, la opción
de ser presidente demanda no solo el ejercicio electoral, sino también
la búsqueda de mantenerse en el poder, tanto para desarrollar las
propuestas políticas que se formularon siendo candidato, como para
constituirse en una figura políticamente relevante, dar continuidad a
su carrera y ejercer sus derechos políticos. En este sentido, esta obra
aporta un estudio relevante en materia de ciencia política, ya que el
ejercicio de ser gobernante implica también un conocimiento de los
riesgos, límites y sobre todo de las maneras de mantenerse en el poder.
