This research examined the economic and governmental stability policies that boosted Singapore's development (1965-1975) and their applicability in Colombia. Through a documentary and comparative analysis, variables such as governance, security, education and foreign investment were evaluated. Likewise, the results revealed that Singapore's success was based on an active and planning State framed in the theory of the developmentalist model, which promoted structural reforms and consolidated efficient institutions; although the Singaporean model is not transferable in its entirety, Colombia could adopt key aspects such as investment in human capital and institutional strengthening, as long as it manages to overcome its structural weaknesses.
