The present study evaluated the precision of the Implicit Relational Assessment Procedure (IRAP) to discriminate true and false autobiographical information, in order to offer empirical evidence that allows understanding the behavioral dynamics related to autobiographical memory. At the same time, it presents an instrument for the evaluation of said memory, thus contributing from the field of experimental psychology to legal practice. The aIRAP was used as a tool, with university students and the post-peasant population as participants. Each experiment involved two groups with different autobiographical events in order to assess the accuracy of the aIRAP. Positive D-IRAP values indicated an adequate ability of the procedure to detect true and false autobiographical events, both in the four types of trials, in the groups and in all experiments. The IRAP effect was greater in type 1 and 4 trials of all experiments, demonstrating that participants were able to more quickly relate stimuli in consistent blocks than in inconsistent blocks, type 2 and 3 trials. Comparing data from all three experiments it is observed that the D-IRAP effect is higher in the discrimination of specific events (experiment 2) than in generic events (experiment 1) and recent sensory-perceptual events (experiment 3) although the difference in D-IRAP scores was not it is so significant between experiments, showing a high sensitivity of aIRAP to identify autobiographical information.spa
