Diseño arquitectónico de una terminal de transporte categoría IV para el municipio de San Gil, Santander

Abstract

The project proposes to design a category IV transport terminal for the municipality of San Gil, Santander. With the intention of solving the problems of mobility, accessibility and informality present in the municipality. Initially, an urban study of roads, population, land uses, economic concentration and the main inter-municipal transport is carried out in order to make an urban approach in search of the advantages of an accessible and optimal location of the inter-municipal stopover terminal intended for public use. of minibuses and taxis, focusing the use of the terminal on light transport taking into account the demand of the Guanentina province. All this is projected through the synthesis of the applicable principles of the benchmark of modern architecture by Mies Van Der Rohe implemented in the development of the transport terminal. Subsequently, the typological analysis is born where the principles of design, form, function, materiality and urban analysis are highlighted to complement the elaboration of the proposal, seeking to reflect modern architecture as development in the city. This collection of principles, regulations, theoretical reference and typological analysis, contextualize the development of the transport terminal in the municipality of San Gil. This lot has the characteristic topography of the municipality, which allows a design proposal divided into two levels intercepted by the ground of the place. A lower level as the main entrance to the building characterized by its commercial area and an upper level as the exit and entrance of transport. Visually, a roof with a hierarchy that creates spaces of shadow and light inside the building, seeking climatic comfort. This is complemented by the use of adobe as the primary material in the building, accompanied by concrete, wood and glass.
