This book offers insights into pedagogical and research endeavors in EFL settings at Universidad Santo Tomás in Villavicencio and Bucaramanga. This regional view is complemented by international contributions, which makes this publication a scenario where different perspectives on TEFL converge. It examines various issues related to current trends in ELT such as the development of communicative skills, decoloniality, Self-Directed Learning, Content and Language Integrated Learning, Mobile-Assisted Language Learning, Design Thinking and EFL mediated by technology. This book sets a precedent in ELT at Universidad Santo Tomás as this is the first publication aiming to compile and showcase academic inquiries of USTA English teachers.
