El concepto de agroturismo es relativamente nuevo. Es el lugar donde se unen el turismo y la agricultura, para brindar experiencias significativas de conocimiento donde a través de un recorrido por una granja, una finca productora, se puede aprender la elaboración de productos como el queso, yogurt, mermeladas, vinos, panes, postres, entro otros. Así como la manera en que se cosechan diferentes cultivos, se crían diversos animales, se siembran hortalizas, frutos, entre otros, de la mano de agricultores y ganaderos que convierten su tierra en un destino turístico, abriendo sus puertas para enseñar todo sobre su labor cotidiana.
El departamento de Boyacá se identifica, como una de las regiones más ricas del país, desde diversos ámbitos donde sobresale su riqueza cultural, rural, agrícola y sus bellos entornos naturales. Sin embargo, también se encuentra una ausencia de oportunidades de crecimiento para mejorar su desarrollo económico. Por lo tanto, teniendo en cuenta nuevos aprendizajes y experiencias que están generando resultados positivos en otros entornos económicos y sociales se decidió realizar este estudio de los municipios de la zona centro de la región con el fin de conocer su potencial para el desarrollo del agroturismo, encontrando una gran riqueza por explotar y que hasta el momento está iniciando a ser reconocida.
Este libro contiene en cada uno de sus capítulos un descubrimiento significativo de la realidad del potencial agro turístico de la zona centro del departamento de Boyacá, con una información relevante recolectada directamente en cada uno de los Municipios, junto a varios de los productores y protagonistas de esta valiosa actividad. Los invito a conocer mucho más de este hermoso departamento que tiene un gran potencial de desarrollo en un entorno natural que puede promover y expandir zonas agrícolas para lograr un mayor desarrollo y crecimiento económico.
Abstract
The concept of agrotourism is relatively new. It is the place where tourism and agriculture come together, to provide significant knowledge experiences where, through a tour of a farm, a producing farm, you can learn the preparation of products such as cheese, yogurt, jams, wines, breads , desserts, among others. As well as the way in which different crops are harvested, various animals are raised, vegetables and fruits are planted, among others, by the hand of farmers and ranchers who turn their land into a tourist destination, opening their doors to teach everything about their work. daily.
The department of Boyacá is identified as one of the richest regions of the country, from various areas where its cultural, rural, agricultural wealth and its beautiful natural environments stand out. However, there is also an absence of growth opportunities to improve its economic development. Therefore, taking into account new learning and experiences that are generating positive results in other economic and social environments, it was decided to carry out this study of the municipalities of the central zone of the region in order to know their potential for the development of agrotourism, finding a great wealth to exploit and that up to now is beginning to be recognized.
This book contains in each of its chapters a significant discovery of the reality of the agro-tourism potential of the central zone of the department of Boyacá, with relevant information collected directly in each of the Municipalities, together with several of the producers and protagonists of this valuable activity. I invite you to learn much more about this beautiful department that has great development potential in a natural environment that can promote and expand agricultural areas to achieve greater development and economic growth.
