Abstract

The internship as a degree option in Civil Engineering fulfills an important value, since theoretical concepts seen throughout the career can be reinforced. In the Mayor's Office of Tunja -Secretary of Education in the area of Inspection and Surveillance was no exception, for 5 months (+600 hours) in the entity, support was provided to comply with the activities proposed in the resolution. During its execution, inspection visits were carried out together with the team, verifying infrastructure availability in accordance with NTC 4595 and NTC 4596; This standard establishes the different requirements for the planning and design of school facilities, aiming to improve the quality of the educational service in tune with local and regional conditions. A detailed technical observation was made in the institutions enforcing the standard and the respective required documentation. During the visit, a record was filled out, leaving a record at the place and at the Mayor's Office, with the respective recommendations and commitments to be fulfilled. Regarding educational infrastructure, together with the Tunja Infrastructure Secretary, the different contracts in progress and tendered were followed up, in order to keep track and trace the works.
