Es importante resaltar que abordar problemáticas desde los primeros pasos de la cadena de suministro, facilita significativamente la toma de decisiones, que traerán consigo soluciones completas y efectivas. Para dar cumplimiento al objetivo general del informe, se llevará a cabo un análisis exhaustivo del proceso en general, desde la recepción de materia prima e insumos, en los diferentes puntos de venta y su planta de producción, hasta la distribución de los productos semiterminados en sus establecimientos. De esta manera, se podrán identificar oportunidades de mejora y así, presentar soluciones concretas para optimizar el proceso de abastecimiento, lo que permitirá incrementar la eficiencia y reducir los costos, sin que la calidad del producto final se vea afectada
Abstract
The general purpose of the project is to make a proposal to improve the company's supply process. To this end, specific objectives are proposed such as: carrying out a diagnosis of the company's storage needs, considering the type of products they handle, the frequency of supply, and the security and handling requirements. Subsequently, bottlenecks will be identified during the process, with the purpose of minimizing these times that affect the operation. In addition, the possibility of automating functions, such as inventory management, will be validated, promoting the use of new information technologies to improve purchasing and supply processes. Finally, a model of the optimal storage space for raw materials and supplies will be presented, using the 3D simulation software, FlexSim. This will answer whether the implementation of a warehouse within the company would increase efficiency in the supply process, reducing the costs and times associated with purchases, distribution and transportation of merchandise.
It is important to highlight that addressing problems from the first steps of the supply chain significantly facilitates decision-making, which will bring complete and effective solutions. To comply with the general objective of the report, an exhaustive analysis of the general process will be carried out, from the reception of raw materials and inputs, in the different points of sale and its production plant, to the distribution of semi-finished products in their establishments. In this way, opportunities for improvement can be identified and thus, concrete solutions can be presented to optimize the supply process, which will increase efficiency and reduce costs, without the quality of the final product being affected.
