Estudio de caso baja capacidad productiva del área operacional del aeropuerto vanguardia de Villavicencio.

Abstract

The Civil Aeronautics Company is a state agency linked to the Ministry of Transportation that is responsible for the control and regulation of civil aviation in Colombia through the various airports built in different cities of the country. The air terminal through which the air transport service is provided in the city of Villavicencio is the Vanguardia Airport, which is composed of multiple areas such as financial, administrative, managerial, OSH, environmental, social welfare and one of the most important, the operational area. The operational area is the basis for the proper functioning of any airport, and it is there where all airport operations are carried out and where the air transport service begins and ends; it is also where the quick and strategic decisions that can be generated in the various media are executed.

The following case study presents a broad and general vision of a latent problem in the operational area focused on the productive level that has the capacity to provide the Vanguardia Airport of Villavicencio to its users, where through observation and analysis it is possible to obtain a broad vision of each component of the problem, such as the strategic, quality, productivity, occupational health and safety (OSH) and environmental aspects. Through the analysis and observation of these components, it is possible to identify the main causes of the productivity problem and the way in which it has an impact on the company and the provision of its air transportation service. Although the case study directly addresses the Vanguardia Airport of Villavicencio, this is only the means of service provision, since the company that appears at the national level is the Civil Aeronautics.
