Quintana Verde

Abstract

The study site is located in the Córdoba neighborhood, an area of ​​urban restructuring contemplated in the POT of the city of Medellín, the project is focused on the design of collective housing VIS, and the environmental restructuring and relationship of the community with the environment of the Quebrada la Quintana.

VIS housing is housing that is mainly intended for families whose income does not exceed certain limits (generally between 0 and 4 minimum wages). Its purpose is to provide housing solutions to vulnerable sectors of the population that could not access housing in the traditional market.

Although their construction focuses on optimizing costs, they must meet minimum standards of habitability and access to public services (water, energy, sanitation).

In our study area, the Quebrada la Quintana is a structuring axis, and of utmost importance for the connectivity and ecological network of this northeastern sector of Medellín.

With this project, from the design of the house, the aim is to give the community a friendly environment with the recovery of the slope of the Quebrada la Quintana, not only based on the design of the house but also on the search for a quality environment that provides the community with functionality integrated with all the conditions of environmental connectivity of the city of Medellín.
