Abstract

The present report describes in a precise and detailed manner the process of professional practices, which is developed as a complement to the academic activities of the institution and which in turn is required to qualify for the professional title in International Business. The Santo Tomás University provides the spaces to execute this requirement, directing students to functions related to their own faculty, and in International Business, the Office of International and Inter-Institutional Relations -ORII-, is the ideal space to put knowledge acquired in the academy into practice and generate an approach with the different institutional processes while sharing and learning from the different cultures of the exchange students who enter to our institution, managing and promoting our institution´s internationalization processes.

As the main objective of professional practices, the student must be deeply committed to the institution and all its members, to become a fundamental part of the internationalization process, so he must make available their skills and knowledge, also to participate actively in the different tasks and performance his functions with responsibility and respect, in this way the learning process will be promoted and will generate great results for both the institution and the student, some of these functions are related to assist students interested in carrying out academic exchange processes inside and outside the country, and receive students from other countries facilitating their entry and coupling to culture, verifying and collaborating so that the University provides what is necessary to create successful experiences, the student must also share his knowledge and opinions, generating ideas that allow to know new perspectives combining the above with global projections and maintaining and prioritizing the values of the institution.
