Prácticas de lectura a partir de una cibernovela

Abstract

In the field of education, it is observed how the ways of reading have been transformed significantly due to the incursion of ICT and new media in the classroom. These actions that are carried out in computerized and virtual environments activate new relationships and interactions between users and the ways of accessing information and building knowledge. In this sense, different texts, literary, informative, among others, are presented in hypertexts or hypermedia that link different informational spaces through hyperlinks and make use of a media diversity (audio, video, image) that enriches the content and invites the interactivity with the text (Landow, 1992). In this context, the research project: "Hypertextual reading practices from a cybernovela" is presented. This research project is carried out within the framework of the “Sincretismos” research group, of the Degree in Literature and Spanish Language of the Faculty of Education of the Santo Tomás University. This research study seeks to explore and analyze new ways of reading in contemporary society. Given this, it should be noted that it is necessary to place interactions with new media within the framework of "reading practices" (Chartier, 2018) that are analyzed in the virtual space. For the development of this proposal, we will observe the different ways of reading a cybernovel called "Gabriela Infinita", created by Jaime Alejandro Rodríguez. "Gabriela Infinita" offers the reader a free and curious journey through hyperlinks that make the reading process fun and intriguing, keeping their attention fixed on the path it takes. Consequently, the present study focuses on the analysis of reading strategies that the reader uses to approach the cybernovel.
