dc.descriptionLa gestión de los residuos de construcción y demolición (RCD) en el Área Metropolitana de Bucaramanga (AMB) enfrenta desafíos en su eficiencia y aprovechamiento, lo que genera impactos ambientales y limita la adopción de prácticas sostenibles en el sector. Se pretende realizar un análisis del modelo actual de gestión de RCD en el AMB y contrastarlo con enfoques innovadores implementados en otros países, con el fin de proponer estrategias que optimicen su aprovechamiento. Para esto se empleó una metodología de investigación mixta, combinando análisis cualitativo y cuantitativo a partir de revisión documental, entrevistas a actores clave y procesamiento de datos en Excel y Tableau. Donde se logró identificar deficiencias en la regulación, baja participación de gestores y limitaciones en la reincorporación de agregados reciclados (AR) en la construcción. Además, se analizaron modelos internacionales que han demostrado mayor eficiencia en la reducción y valorización de los RCD. Con respecto a los hallazgos obtenidos, se propone un modelo de gestión integral que complemente el sistema actual, con estrategias orientadas a la reducción de generación de RCD, el fortalecimiento de gestores y la promoción del uso de AR, garantizando su viabilidad dentro del contexto local
dc.description.abstractThe management of construction and demolition waste (CDW) in the Metropolitan Area of Bucaramanga (AMB) faces challenges in its efficiency and use, which generates environmental impacts and limits the adoption of sustainable practices in the sector. The aim is to analyze the current model of CDW management in the AMB and contrast it with innovative approaches implemented in other countries, in order to propose strategies to optimize its use. For this purpose, a mixed research methodology was used, combining qualitative and quantitative analysis based on documentary review, interviews with key actors and data processing in Excel and Tableau. It was possible to identify deficiencies in regulation, low participation of managers and limitations in the reincorporation of recycled aggregates (RA) in construction. In addition, international models that have demonstrated greater efficiency in the reduction and valorization of CDW were analyzed. With respect to the findings obtained, a comprehensive management model is proposed to complement the current system, with strategies aimed at reducing the generation of CDW, strengthening managers and promoting the use of RA, guaranteeing its viability within the local context
