La presente tesis expone una problematica concreta de la ciudad de Tunja, cuya complejidad marca la necesidad de abordar una mirada crítica hacia el tejido colonial y sus áreas de borde y desbordes que le son inherentes.
En este sentido, la investigación evidencia que las caracteristicas más notorias de los asentamientos que a manera de fragmentos componen la ciudad, son objeto resultante de la falta de articulación, segmentación y vulnerabilidad que han sobrellevado por una inadecuada planeación, además, revela los obstaculos que limitan la conexión de la ciudad a la trama urbana consolidada.
Así la ciudad como espacio habitado, se configura en la tesis para entender el complejo proceso de transformación a la que está sometida; pretendiendo en el trayecto, reencontrar la facultad que tiene el espacio público para hacer que la ciudad se transforme, readapte y construya nuevos espacios; quizá, ya no fundacionales, pero si más articuladores e inclusivos, las diversas partes que lo componen y la vocación de sus lugares dan respuesta definida en relación a todo.
Abstract
The present thesis exposes a concrete problematic of the city of the Tunja, whose complexity marks the necessity to approach a critical glance towards the fabric and its areas of edge and overflows that are inherent to it.
In this sense, the research shows that the most notorious characteristics of the settlements that, in the form of fragments, make up the city, are the result of the lack of articulation, segmentation and vulnerability that have been overcome by inadequate planning of the city, In addition, it reveals the obstacles that limit the connection of the city to the consolidated urban network.
Thus, the city as inhabited apace, is configured in the thesis to understand the complex process of transformation to which it is subjected; pretending in the journey, rediscover the faculty that has the public space to make the city is transformed, readapted and build new spaces; perhaps, no longer foundational, but if more articulators and inclusive, the diverse parts that compose it and the vocation of their places give a definite answer in relation to the whole.
