Abstract

The present thesis exposes a concrete problematic of the city of the Tunja, whose complexity marks the necessity to approach a critical glance towards the fabric and its areas of edge and overflows that are inherent to it. In this sense, the research shows that the most notorious characteristics of the settlements that, in the form of fragments, make up the city, are the result of the lack of articulation, segmentation and vulnerability that have been overcome by inadequate planning of the city, In addition, it reveals the obstacles that limit the connection of the city to the consolidated urban network. Thus, the city as inhabited apace, is configured in the thesis to understand the complex process of transformation to which it is subjected; pretending in the journey, rediscover the faculty that has the public space to make the city is transformed, readapted and build new spaces; perhaps, no longer foundational, but if more articulators and inclusive, the diverse parts that compose it and the vocation of their places give a definite answer in relation to the whole.
