The methodology employed was a mixed descriptive-applied approach, utilizing PESTEL and SWOT analysis to diagnose the need, followed by a quantitative analysis to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and justify the return on investment. The main outcome is the validation of the strategic urgency of developing Destiny, a proprietary Transportation Management System (TMS). The TMS is projected to reduce quote time by 92% (from 52 to 4 minutes) and decrease the document error rate by 87%. The main conclusion is that investment in technology is imperative for survival and growth, as it allows the company to codify its cross-border know-how and secure its position as a competitive 3PL.
