Diagnóstico y formulación de la gestión ambiental para el jardín infantil nuestra señora del Lucero ubicado en Ciudad Bolívar

Abstract

The Nuestra Señora del Lucero kindergarten began its transformation process, in terms of the implementation of an Environmental Management System, to provide better environmental and safety conditions to the children who are part of the educational institution and also to the staff of human talent. Previously, good practices were taken into account but as such there was no documentary base with all the requirements required by law, therefore, it was necessary to carry out an adequate study that would allow knowing how environmental issues were handled within the garden and what measures they were possible to establish according to the conditions and budget that one had. Environmental Management in the garden was carried out based on the minimum requirements demanded by the environmental management area of ​​the District Secretariat for Social Integration, which seeks to progressively minimize the environmental pollution generated by the institution. In the first place, it was necessary to carry out an environmental diagnosis, which was carried out through a technical visit that allowed the facilities to be fully known; In this tour, data were collected on the general information of the kindergarten, the management in the use of water resources and energy, possible damages due to the generation of internal and external noise and the management of atmospheric emissions. Solid waste management and good practices currently being carried out by the garden were also taken into account. With these data, a matrix of environmental impacts (cause-effect) was made using the CONESA method to identify, evaluate, classify and measure the importance of environmental aspects and impacts and thus be able to formulate mitigation, prevention and correction measures against these. Four action plans were formulated corresponding to the integral management of solid waste, hazardous waste, special waste (RCD), and management of used vegetable oil and fat collection. These plans were formulated in order to contribute to the environment and to reduce costs in the educational institution as well as the implementation of water and energy saving systems, it will be the job of the delegate responsible to verify compliance. According to the environmental diagnosis, it was evidenced that the environmental aspects with the greatest influence were water resources, energy consumption and waste generation. All this is produced by activities within the educational institution.
