Metodologías Ágiles en Proyectos Transversales de Retail y Tecnología: Análisis y Buenas Prácticas

Abstract

This monograph analyzes the implementation of agile methodologies in cross departmental projects within organizations of different levels of maturity, ranging from consolidated corporations to emerging ventures. Based on the author’s professional experience in three contrasting business contexts—a highly structured multinational company, a developing enterprise with weak organizational processes, and his own entrepreneurial project, Mente Sana Psicología—the study identifies key factors that enhance or hinder effective project management. Findings indicate that in consolidated environments, agile frameworks such as ScrumBan and Scrum achieve successful implementation due to clear structures, well-defined roles, and a mature organizational culture. In contrast, emerging organizations face challenges such as lack of documentation, limited standardization, and inconsistent communication. Finally, within Mente Sana Psicología, best practices learned from prior experiences were integrated through a flexible combination of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile, resulting in a strong, people-centered organizational culture focused on continuous improvement and operational efficiency. The results highlight that continuous training, centralized communication, process documentation, and patience are critical elements for successful agile implementation. The study concludes that effective project management requires a contextualized approach that balances structure, flexibility, and human engagement to achieve sustainable outcomes.
