Análisis y diagnóstico de la planta de tratamiento de agua potable La Chica

Abstract

The project makes a diagnosis of the current operation of the Water Treatment Plants "La Chica", located in the municipality of Anapoima. Where it is intended, due to the compact and cylindrical configuration that it has, explain the operation of the plant with the aim of collecting textual information for better understanding. In this way, various activities were carried out to develop a comprehensive diagnosis of the main elements that compose it and how they are operating. Therefore, the report collects different aspects for a better understanding of the object of study. Among the main activities carried out, a generalized contextual analysis is carried out that covers the theoretical bases of drinking water treatment and then delimits the social, legal, technical and operational frameworks pertinent to the activity of the plant. Likewise, and at a more specific level, the study of the operation of the compact plant was carried out, in such a way that the physical concepts that govern each one of the elements that make it up were determined, among which are the processes of gauging, dosing, coagulation, sedimentation, filtration and filter washing; activity that later allowed to identify the possible problems of operation of the plant and generate, in parallel, the corresponding plans with the components of the same. Likewise, the corresponding tests were carried out to determine the coagulants and their optimum quantities for an ideal treatment in such a way that a conclusive quantitative result was obtained, which would allow, in the same way, to calculate the quantity of sludge produced by the plant and thus create a proposal for the treatment of said sludge, with its corresponding designs. Finally, the report presents the conclusions, comments and recommendations found during the realization of the project, as well as the corresponding mathematical calculations of the pertinent units.
