Abstract

This work seeks to demonstrate and analyze the changes that have been taking place in recent years in the use of the land of different properties in the rural sector of the municipality of Girardot - Cundinamarca, in the villages of Guabinal, Barzalosa and Piamonte, a problem that has also been identified in some regions of the country, defined as such, since the incorporation of land use carried out without technical studies, that is, without a serious analysis of the capacity of that land to be integrated into urban development, ultimately leads to situations of vulnerability and generation of unsatisfied basic needs for the population that participates in these changes. The illegitimate incorporation of land, without adequate management instruments, is reduced to a change in the area of interest of a territory, where rural land becomes urban in a non-technical way. When executed technically and in accordance with current regulations, land use modifications are legitimate and allow a growing and efficient development of municipalities and cities with the direct participation of the private sector, which is why alternatives will be sought to mitigate the consequences of changes to land use given in the area studied to try to alert the municipal administration and that in some way seek to regulate this type of situation from territorial management in a more efficient way.
