Abstract

Throughout the time Tunja has been the epicenter of great historical events in our homeland history. Since its foundation in 1539 and long before this, its culture and historical value have been benchmarks in the country, as well as extremely important to the history of Colombia as the cradle of freedom and synonymous with greatness and constant struggle for growth. of its city and its people and not only of this but of all the mysteries that it has to tell. The metropolitan library of Tunja is the answer to a need for educational, cultural and identity improvement that the city needs to strengthen its image as a student and university city, as well as being a national benchmark for supporting education through investment in spaces, equipment and infrastructure that allow the development of a real University city, and thus reach both national and international recognition of innovation and entrepreneurship. The educational approach combined with social action and a return to traditional culture is the starting point for the creation of a project that shows us the way to a better vision of a cultural and educated city, but above all with a deep-rooted identity
