    This bulletin presents trends in doctoral theses across various disciplines at Universidad Santo Tomás, highlighting their evolution and the impact of their research. The Doctorate in Law, established in 2010, began its first cohort in 2015 and has produced a significant number of theses and recognitions, with an annual distribution that reflects its consolidation over time. The Doctorate in Public Law, created in 2015 and launched in 2020, focuses on the regulation of relationships between the state and its citizens. Its research lines address the organization and functioning of public power, aiming to ensure legitimate, transparent governance oriented toward social welfare, as well as the protection of fundamental rights. The Doctorate in Education, created in 2010 and initiated in 2013, stands out for its emphasis on theses dealing with fundamental rights and their contribution to social well-being. Several of these works have been recognized for their quality and impact. The Doctorate in Philosophy, established in 2012 and launched in 2015, has also produced significant academic output, with a substantial number of theses and awards reflecting the program’s strength. The Doctorate in Dentistry, created in 2019, began in 2023 with the submission of its first thesis, while the Doctorate in Psychology, established in 2020, also started in 2023 with three student theses. Together, these doctoral programs reflect Universidad Santo Tomás's commitment to high-level research and the training of highly qualified professionals across diverse areas of knowledge.

    During the first semester of 2024, the CRAI-USTA reported significant progress in several key areas. In terms of figures, there was evidence of growth in the use of the services and resources offered. Regarding physical infrastructure, the available spaces for the academic community were maintained and improved, promoting suitable environments for study and research.

    During the second semester of 2023, the CRAI of Universidad Santo Tomás reported a total of 973,729 consultations in electronic resources and research tools, reflecting intensive use of its digital services. Technological infrastructure, technical processes, the institutional repository, and bibliographic acquisitions were strengthened to support learning and research. Cultural and academic activities included sessions such as Storytime, Tomasino Book Fair, Spelling Contests, the reading club “Don Quixote Rockstar”, Coffee with the Author, as well as exhibitions and radio programs. The development of information literacy skills and critical thinking was promoted through workshops, training sessions, and remote services such as Where You Need It, If It Helps, Take It, Traveling Letters, and Literary Tinder. The lending of materials and access to bibliographic resources remained fundamental pillars of the service.

    During the second semester of 2022, CRAI-USTA strengthened its physical, technological, and communications infrastructure, improving academic spaces and services. Access to updated electronic resources was ensured, and progress was made in the development of relevant collections. Through workshops and advisory sessions, the development of information literacy skills was promoted, along with specialized support for the academic community. Actions in technological surveillance, bibliometrics, and innovation were implemented to support knowledge management. Additionally, cultural management was promoted through educational and outreach activities.

Additionally, progress was made in technology surveillance, bibliometrics, and innovation, as well as in cultural and social outreach activities. All of this was carried out in coordination with different areas and departments at the national level, in alignment with the Multicampus Integral Plan, with the aim of offering electronic resources, research tools, software, and specialized services that support the academic formation and visibility of the institution’s intellectual output.

    In 2020, CRAI-USTA focused on the management of collections, services, and electronic resources, as well as the promotion of cultural activities. In this regard, it played a key role in coordinating with various areas and departments at the national level, working together to support the institution's core functions. Additionally, efforts were aligned with development plans and the Multicampus Integral Plan, aiming to optimize the impact of its resources and services on the university community.

    In 2019, CRAI-USTA focused its efforts on the management of collections, services, electronic resources, and the strengthening of cultural management. These actions were carried out in coordination with various areas and departments at the national level, with the purpose of supporting the University's core functions, institutional development plans, and the Multicampus Integral Plan (PIM), thereby contributing to the academic and cultural strengthening of the university community.
