    Propuesta de implementación de una oficina gestora para la prestación de servicios de instalaciones internas de redes de Acueducto en Bucaramanga y su área metropolitana como nueva línea de negocio en Acueducto Metropolitano de Bucaramanga E.S.P con operadores privados, utilizando metodología de marco lógico

    General Objective: Proposal for the creation of an Office to provide internal installation services for aqueduct networks in Bucaramanga and its Metropolitan Area as a new business line within the Acueducto Metropolitano de Bucaramanga, E.S.P., in collaboration with private operators, using the Logical Framework Methodology. Methodology: Logical Framework. Recommendations: It is recommended that the methodology and results of this work be enhanced through further research in other graduate theses, allowing lessons learned to be applied and potentially serve as a model for other public service companies in the region. Conclusions: Based on the results obtained, the proposed objectives are considered met, as the feasibility of implementing the new business line through a management office located in the AMB facilities was determined. The development of the Logical Framework Methodology in this project not only facilitates the effective implementation of aqueduct services but also provides a robust framework for practical project management application. For a Master’s in Project Management, this project represents a tangible example of how to apply theoretical concepts to real-world situations, improving service quality and efficiency, and contributing to professional development in the field of project management. Discussion: The new business line requires preliminary studies to understand the market, including the number of subscribers who could be real or potential demanders of the service, as well as the number of providers. Considering that in Bucaramanga and its metropolitan area, only one company provides the aqueduct service—Acueducto Metropolitano de Bucaramanga, E.S.P. (AMB)—which covers the municipalities of Bucaramanga, Girón, and Floridablanca.

    Análisis de la calidad de experiencia Q&E y Seguridad en la red en el Tráfico de Streaming Multimedia entre IPv6 & IPv4

    The ongoing technological changes that University Bucaramanga´s Campus constantly faces as a higher education institution affects directly its development, therefore, it requires developing, creating and improving its technological tools in order to get a higher quality and education standards; this can be done by increasing the ICT appropriation by the academic community, along with the innovation and use of technology, which demands a better infrastructure and upgraded devices that allow a suitable scalability. The aforementioned process includes the implementation of IPv6 protocol as part of the actualization of the existing digital posters system in Bucaramanga and Floridablanca University Campus and which at the same time, enables to conduct a research study around the issue. This research study seeks to carry out a multimedia internet traffic comparative between IPv4 and IPv6 protocols, through a laboratory-controlled environment, including video compression mechanisms H.264 and H.265 at different video quality formats under three proposed bitrates from queuing packets configured on the router in order to analyze content adaptation in a dynamic way by means of a DASH protocol and identify IPv6 traffic vulnerabilities with controlled network attacks applications. Finally, to solve these variables results in a positive experience for the users who consume multimedia content from digital posters and support the network performance. The analysis of the results obtained is presented along with the multimedia traffic comparative between internet protocols previously mentioned, IPv6 security analysis and quality service parameters, just as quality experience techniques used for this research study.

    Diseño de una red sensorial para la medición de variables en el crecimiento de un cultivo

    Nowadays, the World is experiencing a profound change thanks to technological advances which cover all sectors of industrial production. According to it, the development of the communication is not an exception. This kind of progress has made possible to shorten distances and to create different types of applications such as Smart Cities. Having in mind what mentioned above; the objective of this work allows to form a network model for the interchange the information from an agricultural sector. This network is known as a connection of sensors in a wireless way called WSN (Wireless Sensor Network). For this purpose, a type of agricultural crop was discriminated where the network was implemented with Arduino technology, whose materials are: soil air temperature and humidity sensors, data acquisition and expansion cards. In addition, this network is made up by five modules and every one of them is connected to these kinds of sensors. Likewise, each module is placed in a strategic place to carry out the respective measurement. All these data are collected in a central node that processes and sends them to the Internet network. Finally, the data already processed is hosted on a Web server, which allows the user to verify the real status of the crop in real time, and remotely. A noteworthy aspect of this system is that users can also activate a ventilation and irrigation control mechanism that are placed inside the crop.

    Gestión tecnológica para el fortalecimiento del bienestar en programas en modalidad virtual

    The university is a fundamental factor in the development of academic programs, so strengthening and improving the services provided to the university community (students, teachers and administrative staff) is a challenge that Higher Education Institutions face, and even more, when it refers to academic programs in virtual mode. Institutions work hard to guarantee technological platforms that support user access to virtual campuses, develop pedagogical and technological strategies to favor learning scenarios, however, despite efforts at the technological level, the search for the best strategy to provide the academic community with the services they require to complement their training programs. With this premise, the development of a research project is proposed in order to answer the question: In what way can technological management improve the community's perception of institutional well-being in the virtual programs of the Universidad Santo Tomás, Bucaramanga sectional? The answer to this question is generated by the construction of a technological management proposal for the strengthening of well-being in programs in virtual mode, which has been created from a theoretical review of the concepts of Well-being and Technological Management and that has been complemented with the identification of the distinctive elements of the Ibero-American virtual campuses that stand out for their academic reputation and quality in the provision of their services. The proposal has been designed from four phases: Planning, Design, Operation and monitoring and control and is characterized by seeking in each phase of services through the management of teams, the knowledge and experiences generated through their use.

    This project proposes a DLP strategy to prevent the leakage of classified and reserved information in the Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar ICBF, taking the Regional Santander headquarters as a case study. The design provides a comprehensive vision of the essential mechanisms that this institution must consider when implementing a DLP tool, as well as the awareness and sensitization of users and the continuous improvement of the Information Security management system in accordance with existing achievements. Finally, the designed strategy is validated, obtaining a satisfactory result, reducing data leakage, contributing to the information security strategy, favoring business continuity.

    This research describes the processes that allowed the implementation of ICT in the radiology department for the assistance of activities of the emergency service of the San Juan de Dios Hospital in the municipality of Floridablanca, Santander. In terms of implementation, a group of phases were defined, which will be described below: In the first phase, it was possible define the procedures involved in the transfer of the diagnostic images from the emergency department to the final diagnosis room, where faults associated with delays in time of delivery, unnecessary processes as well repetitive threads, was observed. In the second phase, once the definition and detection of faults was achieved, the necessary network infrastructure to optimize the processes of transfer, storage and consultation of diagnostic images to offer a dynamic and timely service at the ESE Hospital San Juan de God of Floridablanca was designed. In the last phase, the reliability and accessibility parameters of the network were observed, which allowed establishing a before / after comparison, evidencing a reduction of 24% in the time it took for the imaging, transfer and diagnosis process to determine the effectiveness of the network infrastructure in its main object.

    Solución IoT para la optimización del proceso de piscicultura en el Centro de Desarrollo Agroalimentario El Limonal

    In this article, an Internet of Things model is proposed to support the fish farming process in an Agri-Food Center in Colombia, with the purpose of monitoring different variables of the process in real time and being able to make timely decisions that affect the improvement of rates in the artificial multiplication of fish. The project was defined in three stages; the first stage of cutting-edge analysis on smart farms, a second stage where an IoT framework is created that enables sensor, transmission, and analysis of process variables, and a third stage of IoT architecture design. The specific development that can correctly classify more than 95% of the analyzed instances, achieves a very good prediction based on the variables measured through the proposed IoT architecture.

    In order to take advantage of the benefits of the DVB-T2 digital terrestrial television service in Colombia and the very coverage of the service, it is necessary to know the platform development of applications for interactive services (MHP1, HbbTV2) that allow trigger a myriad of citizen-oriented services such as Telemedicine, Risk Information Systems, Occupational Information Systems, Meteorology, airport reports, educational programs for sections, entrepreneurship, programs for the agricultural sector, among others and thus meet the need for technological integration of the broadcasting media and help to reduce the digital divide.

    Diseño e implementación de la etapa de comunicaciones para transmisión de señal VGA entregada por un MSV utilizando un dispositivo embebido SoC FPGA

    Vital signs measuring medical devices have video outputs (DVI, HDMI, VGA), some without network interface; Those that allow Ethernet connection use their own proprietary transmission protocol. The purpose of this master's project is to contribute to the construction of a hardware and software solution that makes it possible to acquire the video signal delivered by the vital signs meter and to be able to transmit the signal to remote places to be consulted By medical personnel. In particular, this project offers the design and implementation of the communication stage of the device by means of modules that allow coding, compression and transmission via the secure Internet channel of the video delivered by the vital signs measurer. The Embedded Operating System used is Debian 8.0 Distribution for ARM architecture, the encoding task was performed with the FFmpeg package compiled for the ARM architecture. The FFmpeg package performs coding, transcoding and streaming tasks using the H.264 and libav-tools libraries. The coding and transmission phase worked correctly, being tested with different codecs, such as MPEG2, MPEG4, VP8 and H.264.

    Análisis de riesgos y vulnerabilidades como estrategia para la medición de políticas en la gestión de seguridad y privacidad de la información del Centro Industrial de Mantenimiento Integral – SENA Girón

    In the present research work, the characteristics of the information security and privacy component are evaluated in a public entity applied to a training center that is part of SENA1. The work focuses on the diagnostic phase in a model of security and privacy of information where a risk analysis is performed and vulnerabilities as a strategy for the measurement of policies in security management and information privacy of the Integral Maintenance Industrial Center - SENA Girón; the methodology for the elaboration of the general policy of security and privacy of information for public entities, recommended by the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies - MINTIC, is considered. It is considered important that the Industrial Center of Integral Maintenance makes a analysis of risks and vulnerabilities to verify the current status and degree of maturity of the Information Security and Privacy Model and the application of policies in security management in the school, in order to identify improvements in the management of the security and define action plans with prioritization of activities that aim to reduce the impact of incidents related to information security. The research line for the present work is Privacy and information security, has a level of exploratory and descriptive research because it seeks to make revisions in the subject of applicability of processes and policies in security and privacy of information as well as identify the level maturity of security and privacy of the information of a centerñ.

    This document aims to define the need to implement the IPv6 internet protocol in telecommunications networks that due to the exponential growth have been generating greater demand for services and opportunities in the global internet network; With the increase in computer and communication technologies, the process of technological innovation has increased in the various wired and wireless devices, such as cell phones, access points, tablets, servers, storage equipment, among others, which began to increase connectivity in many networks in the world and for this they have had to do it with internet addresses that allow connections to be established for each element connected to the network. Framed in the digital governance guidelines of the TIC Ministry, the Industrial Maintenance Industrial Center (SENA CIMI) as an entity of the state is adapted to the implementation of a design and subsequent execution of a native IPv6 network, expanding the coverage and security of the network. This is intended to offer a viable alternative without losing access to IPv4 services and without incurring the disadvantages implicit in other approaches in terms of administration, inherent in the operation of IPv4 and IPv6 simultaneous.

    The Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje SENA presents delays in the acquisition of training materials caused by different reasons; applying the best ITIL® practices, a new service is created that serves as a solution to this need. The solution has a high priority, as it affects a mission process of the entity. The solution is an application, designed in such a way that it does not affect the quality management system and several processes that are immersed. The new service must allow the access of approximately 200 instructors from the Girón Integral Maintenance Industrial Center, who individually order them, then they will be consolidated by networks and finally the final consolidated of all the networks, classified by area, is obtained. which purchases can request the orders from the suppliers. The application also has the option to make changes once the orders have been made, in order to adapt to the budget or need.

    Clasificación de gestos de la lengua de señas colombiana a partir del análisis de señales electromiográficas usando redes neuronales artificiales

    Information Technologies generate inclusion spaces between deaf people and hearing people through the processing of images or signals acquired by devices such as Kinect, Leap Motion, video and image cameras, gloves with EMG sensors and / or the Myo Armband handle. The purpose of this project is to classify the 27 gestures of the Colombian sign language alphabet based on the analysis of electromyographic signals using artificial neural networks. It is based on the know-how that the research group UNITEL of the Faculty of Telecommunications Engineering has regarding the processing and classification of EMG signals. The Wavelet Packet Transform-WPT transform was used to build a matrix of characteristics that allowed creating six training scenarios for the neural network for the classification of gestures of the Colombian sign language. The results obtained strengthen research in this line of work within the UNITEL research group. The accuracy value obtained in each of the scenarios using crossvalidation and confusion matrices allows the reproducibility of the classifier to be measured indirectly, since in each of them the EMG record data involves inter-subject records of the 13 subjects. In conclusion, the analysis of upper limb electromyography signals captured by the yo Armband handle through Neural Networks allows classifying the gestures of the Colombian sign language alphabet, taking into account inter and intra subjects scenarios.

    In this work, we examine wireless sensor networks (WSN) used as a phytosanitary medium within crops for the prevention of Bud Rot. The WSN nodes capture the edafoclimatic variables of PH, ambient humidity, soil moisture, temperature, luminosity and rainfall; That according to Dr. Laing these variables influence the appearance of bud rot (PC) abiotically in the palm. The logical structure of the system is based on LAMP architecture. Transmission tests were performed on the server combining the zigbee, wifi and gsm protocols; Finally the implementation of a small data mining was performed, calculating the average future moisture present in the crop.

    This work presents the design of a motion estimation algorithm that can be implemented in a programmable FPGA hardware platform, in order to support the development of universal video converters that can be easily implemented in telemedicine applications that support USTA-FCV alliance. In order to carry out this work, we analyzed needs of the project, the opportunities to contribute with the estimation of movement for programmable hardware platforms were identified as well. We studied the state of the art and the frame of reference of motion estimation techniques, generating from this acquired knowledge prototypes that were evolving until reaching an algorithm that can determine vectors of movement.
