Formulación del Plan de Saneamiento Básico para la Universidad Santo Tomás Seccional Bogotá

Abstract

Currently, environmental engineering has various application areas that allow to identify environmental factors that may affect the quality of life of the people; environmental health, which is one of the most important of the engineering branches since taking into account the physical, chemical, and biological factors that may incur health is located within these areas. For this reason is the need to prevent and improve living conditions taking into account programmes that minimise and solve the environmental risks that can occur in any type of establishment. The development of this work began with the collection of information concerning the programmes of the plan of basic sanitation, a history of the visits to the University by the E.S.E. Hospital of Chapinero and sanitary regulations; Additionally IVC visits were carried out at all sites of the University, where we identified shortcomings in terms of basic sanitation and which was carried out the elaboration of the final document of the basic sanitation Plan. The results obtained during the process of the internship were the follow-up of each of the headquarters report which was able to make the diagnosis of the sanitary conditions of the University, the PSB presenting the activities that must be implemented by the institution in each of the related programs and the legal matrix identifying current health regulations that applied to the same University.
