Movilidad académica internacional a Europa y Egipto como herramienta de formación académica, jurídica y cultural en el estudiante de Derecho

Abstract

International academic mobility constitutes a fundamental tool in the comprehensive education of university students, particularly in the field of Law, where the comparative analysis of legal systems and cultural contexts allows for a broader understanding of legal phenomena. This paper aims to analyze the international academic mobility experience carried out in Europe and Egypt as a process of academic, legal, and cultural strengthening for Law students from Universidad Santo Tomás, Villavicencio campus. The methodology applied follows a descriptive and reflective approach, based on direct observation, the analysis of academic activities, and the experience gained during the mobility program. The trip began on November 14 with departure from Colombia and arrival in Madrid on November 15, followed by travel to Rome and other European destinations included in the established itinerary, where historically, legally, and culturally significant sites were visited. As a result, the mobility experience contributed to the strengthening of academic skills, the development of critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of the influence of Roman Law and European and Egyptian constitutionalism on contemporary legal systems. Additionally, the experience fostered an appreciation of cultural diversity and highlighted the importance of internationalization in higher education. It is concluded that international academic mobility represents a significant contribution to the professional and personal development of Law students.
