Optimización del plan de gestión integral de residuos peligrosos de la empresa Hortifresco

Abstract

In Hortifresco, agro-industrial company dedicated to the production and marketing of gourmet vegetables, counted with a comprehensive management plan for dangerous waste, which according to the competent environmental authority, the Cundinamarca´s Autonomous Regional Corporation -CAR, in a control and monitoring carried out that didn´t comply with all the requirements that the regulations demand, that´s why this project focuses on the optimization of this plan (PGIRP). This optimization pretends to ensure that all the dangerous waste generated by Hortifresco be managed internally and externally in a correct way in such does not affect the environment or human health, and to comply with the government requirements to the generators of this kind of waste. The development of this project was based on compliance with the general guidelines for the development of comprehensive management plans for dangerous waste in charge to the generators established by the National Environmental Council annexed to the Environmental Policy for the comprehensive management of waste or dangerous waste, approved in 2005 where allows to the company to know, propose and evaluate its Respel (types and amounts) and the different alternatives of prevention and minimization, guaranteeing an internal and external safe management. This allows the society to identify, classify and handled (transport and packing) the dangerous waste in the right way with the objective of minimize and prevent its generation, keeping track of the PGIRP where all the employees maintain the commitment to its fulfillment
