(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2024-08-01) Palacios Meneses, Dalia Carolina; Garavito, Daniel Felipe; Universidad Santo Tomas
Military service in Colombia has for years been a constitutional duty that requires young people to meet a series of psychophysical requirements to be considered fit. However, the current regulations that regulate these requirements have significant shortcomings that could negatively impact the experience of conscripts. The determination of psychophysical fitness is a crucial aspect, not only to guarantee the operational efficiency of the armed forces, but also to protect the mental and physical well-being of young people who are incorporated into military service. The present study focuses on analyzing the main regulatory deficiencies in the regulation of psychophysical requirements for military service in Colombia, an aspect that has been the subject of controversy due to the lack of clarity and updating of current regulations. The formulation of the problem is based on the need to identify current shortcomings and propose solutions that guarantee a better adaptation of conscripts to the military environment. To address this problem, the analysis focuses on three specific objectives: first, the rules that regulate recruitment for military service in Colombia will be examined, in order to identify their weaknesses and areas for improvement; second, the psychological and social factors that influence the adaptation of conscripts will be described, fundamental elements that must be considered in the evaluation of psychophysical fitness; and, finally, significant changes will be proposed in the current regulations, with the aim of minimizing the negative psychological effects during the provision of military service and ensuring that young people are selected and treated in a way that respects their dignity and comprehensive well-being This study not only seeks to contribute to the improvement of recruitment policies, but also to the creation of a more humane military environment that is respectful of fundamental rights, in accordance with the principles established in the Constitution and in international human rights treaties. that Colombia adheres.

This reflection article contains results obtained on the contribution of legal and forensic psychology to the existing social problem of domestic violence against women, allowing the reader to have a reflective analysis based on said contribution. It is necessary to be clear that an abusive relationship is generally made up of a victim and an abuser, the elements that arise consciously and unconsciously make each party responsible for continuing with said relationship. Consequently, the intervention of legal and forensic psychology in these cases of violence has become increasingly relevant in the judicial field thanks to the expert reports carried out by legal and forensic psychologists, specialists in the area, expert reports that are used as a relevant legal tool in the clarification of this type of cases and in decision-making by the competent judicial authorities in countries where domestic violence against a woman is classified as punishable in the criminal system. This study used a qualitative and quantitative method in the selected literature theme based on feminism as a basic epistemological school, since oppression and gender inequality are directly related in the approach to domestic violence against women, resulting in the support of this reflection article.

The armed conflict has had significant repercussions on various population groups, affecting all stages of the life cycle. This study focuses on children and adolescents (CAs), analyzing the psycholegal impacts in Spanish-speaking countries. A scoping review was conducted following the PRISMA methodology. Scientific articles were searched in databases such as Google Scholar, Scielo, Biomedica, Psicogente, Redalyc, Academic Research Ultimate, and Fuente Académica Plus, using search equations in Spanish. After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 37 articles were analyzed from an initial total of 94. It was identified that International Humanitarian Law (IHL) has been fundamental in protecting the rights of CAs. Additionally, the legal debate has focused on determining the status of victims or perpetrators of CAs involved in war, yet there is no general rule to establish parameters. Therefore, it is imperative that justice guides the processing of minors to reduce the chances of re-victimization and ensure respect for their rights and well-being. Psychosocially, symptoms associated with depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress are observed, with intergenerational consequences. In conclusion, there is a need to strengthen the integration between psychological perspective and jurisprudence to ensure the restoration of the rights of CAs.

(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2024-02-02) Parra Peñaranda, Gabriela Valentina; Ariza Quiroga, Angie Yamile
This research article aims to analyze the relationship that exists between emotions and conciliation in law, through a systematic review of several authors who have written about these concepts in independent ways. It has a qualitative methodology that allows us to address Gadamer's hermeneutic approach, which includes the current Colombian regulations and allows us to understand how conciliation works in law in the national territory and also how in some aspects the emotions regarding the processes are unknown. legal. Also, the importance of the role of the conciliator is raised through a comparative analysis of the profiles of the conciliator according to the training in some universities in Colombia and finally, according to the findings, conclusions are drawn that allow us to recognize the importance of interaction among the human sciences mainly law and psychology.
