Tipo de ítem: Ítem , El erotismo como experiencia radical: Una búsqueda desde algunos momentos del pensamiento latinoamericano(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2026-04-07) Gallo Casas, Diego Fernando; Román Agudo, Tatiana; Universidad Santo Tomás; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0002175199; https://orcid.org/0009-0004-1911-9500This thesis examines erotic experience as a radical form of experience that challenges traditional modes of philosophical conceptualization. From an ontological and phenomenological perspective, it explores how eroticism—understood as excess, rupture, and the overflowing of the subject—resists being fully captured by rational discourse. The central aim is to investigate how such an experience can be approached philosophically without reducing its singular and elusive nature. To this end, the study analyzes selected moments in Latin American thought where erotic experience appears suggested rather than conceptually defined, particularly in the writings of Nicolás Gómez Dávila, Fernando González Ochoa, and Octavio Paz, in dialogue with philosophical reflections on experience in Georges Bataille and Martin Heidegger. Rather than defining eroticism as a stable philosophical category, this research seeks to problematize the limits of philosophical discourse when confronted with experiences that exceed conceptual rationality, proposing instead an understanding of philosophy itself as a form of experiential engagement with what resists complete conceptualization.Tipo de ítem: Ítem , De los saberes populares hacia la filosofía intercultural: Reflexiones acerca de Fornet-Betancourt y la pluralidad epistémica(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2025-11-30) Fonseca González, Saúl Andrés; Díaz Guzmán, Omar David; Universidad Santo Tomás; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001754193; https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=ieUZmKoAAAAJ&hl=es&oi=ao; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7351-780XThis research focused on analyzing popular knowledge within Latin American philosophy, engaging with Raúl Fornet-Betancourt's proposal to "de-philosophize" philosophy, with the aim of reclaiming it within philosophical practice and demonstrating its role in shaping an intercultural philosophy. It was shown that this knowledge constitutes ways of understanding and interpreting the world, deeply connected to daily life, community, and territory, and historically marginalized by the Eurocentric philosophical tradition. Furthermore, it was demonstrated that the category of "de-philosophizing" philosophy allows for questioning the limits of hegemonic thought and opening the philosophical horizon to a plurality of knowledge. Finally, it was determined that popular knowledge is constitutive of intercultural philosophy and that its recognition is key to constructing a philosophical reflection committed to epistemological diversity and cognitive justice in Latin America.Tipo de ítem: Ítem , La fraternidad, un acontecimiento para el fiel diálogo intercultural(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2025-10-05) Suarez Núñez, German Exequiel; Eslava Castañeda, Edgar Gustavo; Universidad Santo Tomás; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000498084This research seeks to answer the question: How can fraternity be declared as an event capable of sustaining a faithful, genuine, and transformative intercultural dialogue? Based on a documentary and hermeneutic-critical approach, it explores the philosophical foundations that make it possible to conceive fraternity not as a traditional moral or religious notion, but as an event that breaks into history and calls for fidelity. The study articulates Alain Badiou’s category of the event with Raúl Fornet-Betancourt’s concept of interculturality, establishing a dialogue between ontology and ethics through the lens of otherness. In this convergence, fraternity is declared as an evental truth that disrupts the logic of exclusion and proposes a new form of relationship among subjects and cultures. The work concludes that the event of fraternity is a practice of fidelity to the other and to difference, capable of transforming modes of coexistence and opening a horizon of shared meaning within human diversity.Tipo de ítem: Ítem , El concepto de educación en la obra filosófica de Julio Enrique Blanco.(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2011) Torres Romero, Endri Martín; Universidad Santo TomásTipo de ítem: Ítem , El pensamiento político en la literatura Colombiana en el exilio.(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2011) Soriano Espinosa, AlfonsoTipo de ítem: Ítem , Elementos para una pedagogía de la autonomía desde la escuela.(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2011) Rugeles Torres, Arnulfo; Universidad Santo TomásTipo de ítem: Ítem , Alteridad El Otro en Enrique Dussel y la Negatividad en Byung Chul Han(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2025-06-10) Cruz Quimbayo, Jordan Daladier; Díaz Guzmán, Omar David; Universidad Santo Tomas; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001754193; https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=ieUZmKoAAAAJ&hl=es&oi=ao; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7351-780X; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8434-3390A hermeneutic analysis of Otherness in the work of Enrique Dussel and Byung Chul Han. The main philosophical assumptions of these authors' works are identified with categories such as Totality, Exteriority, Modernity, and Transmodernity in the projects of the Argentine philosopher and the South Korean philosopher: Positivity, Negativity, Inactivity, and Dialectic. Their close relationship with Otherness in their proposals is examined. Convergences and divergences are found within these categories, allowing for a detailed understanding of the Hegelian dialectic as a movement and the importance of each of its moments (affirmation, negation, and negation of negation) for the emergence of distinct otherness, taking as a source Levinasian thought, which emphasizes ethics as the first philosophy, metaphysical rather than ontological. In this way, the violence of the totalizing totality of modern and contemporary thought is highlighted, as it fetishizes being and conceals non-being, that is, the Other as the absolutely distinct. Finally, we want to clarify the importance of dialectics at the moment of negation to generate new movements such as the analectic to transform those reproduced and reaffirmed by the sameness of the contemporary world.Tipo de ítem: Ítem , Formalismo Discursivo en la Arquitectónica de la Liberación: ¿es la Ética de la Liberación una Ética del Discurso(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2025) Guerrero Ospina, Carlos Mauricio; Díaz Guzmán, Omar David; Universidad Santo Tomás; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001754193; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001556012; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7351-780XIn the debates sponsored by Raúl Fornet Betancourt that took place in the late 20th and early 21st centuries between the German philosopher Karl-Otto Apel and the Argentine-Mexican philosopher Enrique Dussel (Apel & Dussel, 2004), a significant part of the confrontation revolved around the problem of the ultimate grounding of ethics. Based on the study of these encounters and other relevant texts by both authors, the purpose of this research is to analyze the transformation that occurred in Dussel’s ethics of liberation as a result of the dialogue with Apel’s discourse ethics, in relation to the transcendental-discursive level postulated by the latter to ground morality, which Dussel incorporates into two of the principles outlined in his Ethics of Liberation in the Age of Globalization and Exclusion, published in 1998.Tipo de ítem: Ítem , Ontologías Latinoamericanas y los Aportes de los Feminismos del Abya Yala(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2024) Machuca Martinez, Viviana Carolina; Vallejo Molina, Ruben Dario; Universidad Santo Tomás; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000400360; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000016813; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2659-3313En América Latina, la reflexión ontológica y metafísica ha sido de interés, tanto por los procesos coloniales de negación del ser de los indios que marcan unas trayectorias en el pensamiento del continente, como por los redimensionamientos y propuestas, es decir, en la positividad que encontramos en las filosofías de la liberación y del Abya Yala. His approach focused on the search for a discourse that enabled thinking about the praxis of liberation, so that the materialization of actions would foster an effective social transformation; which allows the breaking of the law as a fetish, as an untouchable idol that despises life in all its forms, legitimizing oppression, violence, marginalization, and the death of the Other. Therefore, this research acknowledges that Dussel, in his ethical-political proposal, offers a critical approach to the categories of Totalidad and Exterioridad, addressed from the perspective of Paul’s Epistle to the Romans in the anthropological realm. This aims to determine the displacement of these categories and their influence on his politics of liberation, especially concerning the fetishization of power. To this end, an interdisciplinary dialogue between philosophy and theology will be established, recognizing the importance and primacy of la Vida as the foundation that allows the development of the Dabar; which enables the recognition of the Other, the excluded, and affirms the denied dignity of those who have been annulled by a Totality that closes in on itself.Tipo de ítem: Ítem , El -estar-, una categoría filosófica de comprensión del hombre andino en el mundo quechua(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2024-06-18) Olarte González, José Carlos; Acevedo, Álvaro; Universidad Santo TomásIn the Andean world to do the effort for understanding the human being related to his environment (Pasha) of a way allows us to articulate to the Quechua man (runasimi) from his comprehension with everything not reduccionista not hegemonic but "polylogic". Rodolfo Kusch, helped us to contact the essence of the deep thought of our Andean America. Essence that it defines as the " American stink ", in a challenging attitude towards the prejudices of certain sectors of our company that see in the American roots something sickening. We will enter the "Andean thing", adjective that reflects a set of geographical aspects (the "highland" part of them walk Peruvians), topographic (the region between the 2,000 and 6,900 meters of height of Peru), cultural (the runasimi like Quechua language and cultural form of comprehension) and ethnic (the " Andean people "). Without forgetting that the "Andean thing" is also historically seen "incaico", a multicultural, multiethnic phenomenon and up to sincrético. We do not understand the " thought incaico " as a phenomenon that happened in the past, but as a vivid thought and I live at present. Thought where the conceptions Incas of the runasimi us reveal the "philosophical Andean thought " in the measure in which still today they are still in force in the unconscious group of the people. To investigate in these depths of the thought and to observe what exists in us as western, it will lead us to raising the differences and the examinations, but also the possible ways of meeting and confluences in the comprehension of being a human being. For the anthropology and the Latin-American philosophy that has initiated his incursion thoroughly for the American dimensions that Kusch and others travelled, it is to be employed at the possibility of going towards other borders.Tipo de ítem: Ítem , La Significación de la Ficción en la Narrativa de Javier Marías. Thus, in order to discern and fully understand the reactionarism he is accused of, it is imperative, before any hasty judgment, to determine, first, the philosophical sources that support his political ideology; then, to appreciate the conceptual relations, more than evident, with the political tradition of classical antiquity, represented in Plato's metaphysical realism. This is the main objective of the present research. It should be noted, however, that if the objective is plausible in itself, it is not entirely pertinent: does it make any sense today to vindicate Gómez Dávila's reactionarism? The answer, as will be shown in the following pages, is affirmative, only on the unappealable condition that his scathing criticism of the fetishes of the modern world facilitates, and here is its usefulness, the understanding of the fundamental reasons for the crisis of the values of modernity and the increasingly alarming discrediting of democracy as a political system.Tipo de ítem: Ítem , De la Historia de las Ideas a la Historia de las Prácticas Culturales: Libros, Textos y Lectores en la América Hispana de los siglos XVI a XVIII(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2023-10-03) Vásquez García, César Augusto; Bejarano Sanabria, Henry Camilo; Universidad Santo Tomás; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001606278; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001098373; https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=es&user=TP9_a9sAAAAJ; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7818-8360; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5420-0567The degree work aims to explore the social practices present in the historical-cultural processes, the mechanisms of dissemination of ideas, and the material supports of textual culture in general and book culture in particular, which allow us to know the forms of appropriation of Western discourses by the inhabitants of Hispanic America during the 16th to 18th centuries, within the framework of the traditional historical periodization that institutionalizes the European conquest and colonization on the American continent. From the previous references, it is possible to establish that the problem of this research is based on the investigation of the production and reading practices of written texts (manuscript and printed), musical, cartographic, pictorial, and artisanal, from the categories of production, reception, and circulation of information between the 16th and 18th centuries in Hispanic America. The means of access to recognize these cultural practices are the written records located in the repositories of historical archives that preserve the raw material of grapholectic textuality, as well as the artistic and cultural expressions preserved in museums, the walls of ancient cities, contemporary, ephemeral art, artistic performances, and traditional crafts of ancestral and current peoples and communities.Tipo de ítem: Ítem , Usos de la Teoría del Reconocimiento de Axel Honneth en la Filosofía Latinoamericana(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2023-08-04) Olarte Mesa, Jennifer; Universidad Santo Tomás; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001607946; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0191-3146Tipo de ítem: Ítem , Pedagogía crítica y filosofía de la educación, en el horizonte de la actual filosofía crítica de Enrique Dussel(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2012) Ruiz Rodríguez, Paola; Universidad Santo TomásAs an answer to the call that Enrique Dussel addresses, to those who study his work in a critical way, to understand his political philosophy abstract level as a “minimal framework to be able to think of any empirical political problem” (Dussel, 2009, p. 14). This research work is to articulate the critical-philosophical proposal prepared by this Argentinean-Mexican philosopher with the educational political sub-field. In this regard, the research project presented here rescues the relation between philosophy and pedagogy, understanding the second one as much more than the simple concerns for methodological aspects and rescuing the importance of thinking about the education content and direction. This is the context in which Enrique Dussel’s ethics and politics are presented as philosophical underpinning for an educational system which, as the ethical and political system does, has doubts about itself and reconfigures itself according to the claim of those who have been excluded, thus becoming an strategic action on which political issues emerge as something practicable.Tipo de ítem: Ítem , La filosofía latinoamericana como política cultural : un diálogo con Richard Rorty y Raúl Fornet-Betancourt(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2023-03-13) Bernardes Oliveira Neto, Aristinete; Santamaría Velasco, Freddy; Universidad Santo TomásTipo de ítem: Ítem , La política como vida : Una aproximación al ideario político y filosófico de José Martí(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2023-03-08) Vargas Galindo, Martha Viviana; Acevedo Gutiérrez, Álvaro; Universidad Santo Tomás
