This virtual consulting project was conducted at Calzado Lesmar S.A.S. with the objective of strengthening strategic inventory management and supply storage as a critical factor for international competitiveness. Based on a comprehensive logistics processes diagnosis of the company, structural inefficiencies were identified, including reliance on manual records, low traceability, document inconsistencies, and the absence of specialized technological tools. These gaps hinder operational capacity and generate cost overruns that affect the financial sustainability of the company. In response, a comparative evaluation methodology of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems was progressive applied, assessing platforms with integrated logistics, accounting, and production modules. The analysis determined that ACCASOFT, a software specialized in the footwear sector, is the most suitable solution to automate critical processes, optimize production planning, enhance supply chain visibility, and strengthen strategic decision-making. The outcomes of this intervention demonstrate a direct impact on cost reduction, improved logistics efficiency, and the creation of sustainable competitive advantages, enabling the organization to undertake internationalization processes with greater resilience, particularly in Latin American and North American markets. Furthermore, this project integrates knowledge of strategic management, international logistics, and digital transformation, contributing value both to the organization and to the consultant’s professional development.

(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2025-08-27) Argel Navas, Natalia Julieth; Gómez Parada, Edgar Javier
In a context of increasing globalization, international logistics faces challenges related to visibility, efficiency, and shipment control. This case study analyzes the impact of S.A.M.M.I.E., a technology platform developed by DNA Supply Chain Solutions, which aims to optimize document management, real-time monitoring, and strategic decision-making in foreign trade. The main purpose of this study is to evaluate S.A.M.M.I.E.'s contribution to the digital modernization of logistics processes, considering its influence on operational efficiency, error reduction, and customer loyalty. Specific objectives include examining the company's positioning in the logistics sector, identifying applied technological innovations, and determining the customer attraction and retention mechanisms implemented by the platform. Methodologically, a qualitative approach was adopted, based on a review of internal reports, process manuals, customer interviews, and direct observation of the company's operations. This allowed us to identify strengths, challenges, and lessons learned regarding the implementation of digital solutions in logistics. The results show that S.A.M.M.I.E. has generated significant improvements in traceability, time reduction, delivery prediction accuracy, and notification automation, achieving more than 90% accuracy in arrival estimates. Likewise, there is evidence of a strengthening of customer relationships by providing transparent information and interactive tools to prioritize shipments and manage risks. The discussion highlights how it stands out from its competitors by integrating visibility, artificial intelligence, and service personalization into a single platform.

This paper analyzes the internationalization opportunities for the powdered egg white product produced in Santander, aiming to identify potential markets and propose international integration strategies. The main objective was to assess global environmental conditions and define the most favorable market for export, as well as the most appropriate marketing and distribution mechanisms. The study initially addresses the context of the poultry sector in Colombia, highlighting its productive importance and the need to diversify the export offering with higher value-added products. It then presents a theoretical framework based on internationalization models such as Uppsala, the theories of absolute and comparative advantage, new economic geography, and the global value chain. Methodologically, a mixed approach was applied, combining documentary and quantitative analysis using a market selection matrix. The criteria evaluated included economic, logistical, regulatory, demand, and foreign trade factors. The results indicate that Germany, with a score of 4.20, is the most favorable market, followed by the United Kingdom (4.00) and Japan (3.60). The analysis of the German context revealed high demand in the food and cosmetics industries, advanced logistics infrastructure, and preferential tariff access thanks to the trade agreement between Colombia and the European Union. The discussion highlights that, although significant opportunities exist, access to the German market requires compliance with international certifications such as IFS, ISO 22000, Halal, and Kosher, in addition to differentiation and sustainability strategies. In conclusion, it is established that the internationalization of powdered egg white from Santander to Germany is viable and strategic, provided that a gradual entry model is adopted through specialized importers and the certification and competitiveness capabilities of the Colombian poultry sector are strengthened.
