    The water supply and sewerage sector in Barrancabermeja faces significant challenges in managing overdue accounts, especially in the lower-income strata, where the payment culture is weak and socioeconomic conditions affect users’ ability to meet their obligations. Aguas de Barrancabermeja S.A. E.S.P. needs to implement more structured and sustainable strategies to ensure financial stability and service continuity. An analysis of the current situation shows that the recovery of overdue accounts must be addressed through a combination of financial, technological, and social strategies. Segmenting users based on their payment behavior and risk level is essential for designing effective normalization plans. Likewise, implementing early payment campaigns and partial interest forgiveness strategies has proven to be a viable alternative to encourage users to fulfill their outstanding obligations. To achieve efficient account recovery, the following is recommended: • Strengthen user segmentation strategies to tailor payment plans according to users’ economic capacity and financial behavior. • Implement technology to automate portfolio management, including the use of CRM systems, automated payment reminders, and predictive delinquency analysis. • Establish incentives for timely payments, such as interest discounts for users who make payments before the due date. • Optimize communication with users through various digital channels and educational strategies highlighting the importance of paying for the service. • Continuously monitor and evaluate results, adjusting strategies based on key performance indicators related to compliance with payment plans and reduction of overdue accounts.

    This undergraduate thesis presents a business plan proposal for the family-owned company “Fresas La Frontera,” located in District 1 of the municipality of Soacha, Cundinamarca. Soacha, situated in the southern part of the department, had an estimated population of 782,647 inhabitants in 2023 (DANE, 2023), and covers a total area of 187 km², of which 85.6% corresponds to rural zones inhabited by only 1% of the population (Cataño, 2019). Despite its proximity to Bogotá and the agricultural potential of its rural districts, the region faces several challenges that hinder its agro-industrial development. “Fresas La Frontera” is dedicated to the cultivation and commercialization of high-quality Monterey strawberries. The farm has been a pioneer in Cundinamarca, being the first in the department to receive the Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) certification from the Colombian Agricultural Institute (ICA) and holds a health certification issued by the Municipal Health Secretariat. Currently, the company supplies major brands such as Crepes & Waffles, KFC, and Alpina. However, to increase its competitiveness, the company aims to implement a value-added transformation process by producing powdered strawberries with export potential. This project was conceived upon identifying both the needs and the opportunities to leverage the farm’s strengths and local agroecological conditions. It seeks to turn traditional production into an innovative, sustainable, and profitable model. The initiative integrates knowledge acquired through the ongoing postgraduate specialization program, combining academic training with practical experience to achieve an effective and realistic implementation. As part of the Integrated Professional Project (TPI) modality, this business plan aims to create a high-impact entrepreneurship focused on the production and commercialization of powdered strawberries. It proposes a comprehensive and applicable plan that addresses market demands while generating economic, social, environmental, and health-related benefits. Additionally, the project contributes to reducing food waste, promotes productive transformation, opens new market opportunities, diversifies farmer income, and encourages healthy consumption through the development of a high-quality, innovative product.     Gecolsa (General de Equipos de Colombia S.A.) is a leading company in Colombia in the fields of heavy machinery, electric power generation, and quarry mining. It serves as a distributor for Caterpillar Inc. and allied brands such as SEM. Its core business lines include the sale and rental of machinery, the sale of spare parts and services, and the sale of remanufactured components necessary to maintain the productivity of its clients’ equipment. However, Gecolsa faces a recurring issue in its after-sales area: the return on investment cycle, internally referred to as WIP, currently averages 120 days—far from the 50-day target set by the company for 2024 and 2025. This delay not only impacts liquidity but also negatively affects customer satisfaction (NLS) and the company’s competitiveness in the sector. This project aims to identify the root causes of this delay and propose solutions to reduce the return on investment cycle to 50 days, focusing on improving internal administrative processes, thereby enhancing process efficiency and customer relationships.

    The topic to be discussed is the implementation of a business model at the Corporate Business Center branch of La Previsora Insurance Company. This contribution is very significant for the company, given the constant complaints and poor service ratings from customers and insurance intermediaries due to delays in product delivery. Furthermore, employees complain about heavy workloads and a lack of fairness. Data collection is required to conduct a diagnostic analysis of processes and operating capacity, in order to determine the improvements to be implemented, if possible, within the available resources. As a state-owned company, its plant is limited in its growth. The company has 26 branches divided into four types based on their sales budget; all sell insurance policies through the following process lines: quoting, sales, collection, and account maintenance. Although they all have the same purpose, their goals, structure, and client types are different, making it necessary to design a standard business model with variables that will allow us to later implement it in the other branches. The methodology begins with on-site information gathering at one branch to conduct a diagnosis with an analysis of all available volumes. The company has a strategic plan based on the Balanced Scorecard methodology and has a breakdown of indicators by branch. This allows for a view of the status of each branch's indicators. With all the information collected and external market figures (Fasecolda figures), a model can be implemented that allows us to meet our goals and customer expectations and improve the work environment.

    Avilab de Oriente SAS Diagnostic Laboratory is an entrepreneurial project to establish a new veterinary diagnostic laboratory that offers diagnostic services and technical advice to poultry farmers in eastern Cundinamarca and the Eastern Plains. The diagnostic area focuses on necropsy, microbiology, molecular biology, and serology as tools to accurately determine the origin of health problems affecting poultry farmers on commercial poultry farms in the area. In this sense, this project seeks to respond to a need in the poultry sector in the region, as there is no easy access to laboratories and professionals who can make accurate diagnoses when health challenges arise on poultry farms. This results in increased costs due to the low effectiveness of treatments instituted without a diagnosis and mortality due to delayed treatment.

    The occupational accident rate is an inconvenience that all companies must solve and avoid, modern legislation requires all companies to have a planning that involves what should be done and what should not be done to reduce the prevalence of accidents or incidents in the operation of the company. For this, the present work intends to make a diagnosis of the initial conditions of INGENIERIA Y SOLUCIONES JR S.A.S, in terms of Safety and Health at Work, propose the improvement and incorporation of best practices in the execution of its main activity, diagnose how is its SG-SST, implement a Regulation of Health and Safety, annual training on Safety and Health at Work, a monitoring software with their respective formats, the documentary conservation of the formats and follow-ups to the health of employees and applicants for vacancies in the company. It is expected that with the incorporation of improvements in the SG-SST of INGENIERIA Y SOLUCIONES JR S.A.S. will improve its practices, follow up, maintenance and replacement of tools and machinery associated with the operation, reduce the economic effects when there is an accident or occupational incident and promote a better working environment as the improvements described above are implemented.

    This document reflects an analysis of the company Language Home Salento, which is located in the municipality of Salento Quindío, which is responsible for offering Spanish and English classes both in person and virtually to locals and foreigners, since this municipality is an important sector of tourism within the department. The municipality presents a great example of the culture of the region and is also located a few minutes from the Natural Park cocora valley, it is an entry point for different natural activities such as the snow-capped mountain of Ruíz, among others. The research aims to determine strategies that allow the company a greater reach at a national and international level, because the size of the municipality forces the company to look for more customers in other sectors of the world, determining through marketing the best platforms and strategies to achieve a better positioning at the national level.

    This study will be applied at the Corporación Interactuar, a nonprofit financial sector company focused on social development in Colombia. Its main objective is to support entrepreneurs and microenterprise business owners in order to increase social, economic, and environmental progress in the country, with a focus on providing financial services and ongoing support to help develop both business and human capabilities. This organization is present in several departments in Colombia, including Antioquia, Córdoba, Sucre, Caldas, Cundinamarca, and Tolima, with 36 strategically located offices in these regions. The Corporación Interactuar has a commercial leader who is responsible for both administrative and commercial tasks, as well as budget management. This role plays a crucial part in the process, ensuring everything runs efficiently and that the organization achieves its objectives. For this reason, we have taken the initiative to carry out this consultancy, focusing on improving the functions of the commercial leader in the Córdoba zone. Over time, we have noticed delays in the execution and lack of compliance with tasks under their responsibility. From the initial meeting with the commercial leader in the Córdoba zone, it became evident that they lack the time needed to optimally carry out the assigned tasks. As a result, and with the collaborator's agreement, this consultancy was created to understand the current state of the role and develop a plan to improve activity management and maximize effectiveness. To carry out this plan, we will first analyze how the position fits within the organization, identifying the most relevant internal and external factors that will help evaluate the opportunities, threats, strengths, and weaknesses. With this information, we will be able to examine the relationship between causes and effects, which will allow us to define the current situation and detect areas for improvement in the role.

    The proposed business project presents an innovative perspective by addressing the challenges that have limited participation in real estate investments in Colombia. Real estate crowdfunding is introduced as a key and novel element, not only as a source of financing but also as a tool that democratizes access to the real estate market. This strategy allows people from various economic backgrounds to become co-owners of real estate, offering them a share in the growth and returns of such properties. In this context, the business lines of flipping and coliving not only serve to diversify investment opportunities but also present practical solutions for the acquisition, renovation, and rental of properties, adapting to the changing needs of different audiences, from young professionals to digital nomads. When analyzing the problem, fundamental barriers are identified that have hindered participation in real estate investments in Colombia. Only 15.2% of Colombians save regularly, and only a small percentage of those savings are allocated to asset acquisition. (La Nota Economica, 2021). Additionally, the lack of financial education affects the population's ability to make informed decisions. (La Nota Economica, 2021). Finally, misconceptions, such as the belief that a large amount of capital is required to invest in real estate, limit access to the market and have created a challenging environment. The project aims to specifically address these issues. Therefore, a comprehensive analysis of the real estate market is conducted to establish the feasibility of an efficient business model, with a strategic approach that aims not only to overcome these barriers but also to promote financial education. In this context, real estate crowdfunding emerges as a safe and accessible alternative, offering investment opportunities that transcend traditional limitations. The project’s development focuses on conducting a feasibility study to determine the business’s viability. Through a detailed analysis of the Colombian real estate market, trends, demand, and opportunities are identified, thus optimizing the project's value proposition. This approach not only seeks business success but also aims to have a positive impact on financial education and facilitate access to real estate investments for a broad segment of the population.
