Through an exploratory study based on surveys and interviews with local producers and stakeholders, the need and feasibility of a milk collection center were identified as a viable solution to reduce post-harvest losses, ensure sanitary quality, and improve access to formal markets. The proposal suggests that an organized system of collection and refrigeration would not only increase producers’ income but also foster associativity and sustainable development in the region. However, the success of the project will largely depend on overcoming challenges such as initial investment and effective coordination among producers.Tipo de ítem: Ítem , Estado del arte de los germinados en la academia del Norte de Santander(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2011) Botero Mejía, Beatríz Alina; Universidad Santo TomásTipo de ítem: Ítem , Implementación de la Inteligencia Artificial en la Educación Superior desde Enfoques Ético-Normativo, Pedagógico y Tecnológico para Estrategias de Uso Efectivo(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2025) Triana Carreño, Andres Felipe; Rangel Valenzuela, Luis Miguel; Alvarez Bernal, Juan David; Moreno Garzón, Luis Fernando; Universidad Santo Tomás; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000779679; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8928-7084This monograph analyzes the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) from ethical, pedagogical, and technological perspectives. The first objective addresses the regulatory framework and ethical principles that should guide its adoption, highlighting regulatory gaps and proposing guidelines to ensure equity, transparency, and data protection. From an ethical standpoint, key principles such as responsibility, transparency, data privacy, and non-maleficence are identified, along with the need for coherent institutional policies. For the second objective, the impact of AI on teaching and learning processes is examined, emphasizing its potential to personalize learning through adaptive platforms and generative tools. Additionally, its contribution to active methodologies such as flipped classrooms and project-based learning is analyzed, while also noting the challenges faced by educators and the urgent need to strengthen their digital and pedagogical competencies. Lastly, the third objective focuses on technological infrastructure and accessibility, pointing out barriers such as limited connectivity and lack of interoperability. Strategies are proposed to ensure equitable implementation, highlighting the importance of digital literacy and inclusive technologies for students with diverse needs. The methodology was qualitative, based on a systematic documentary review of academic sources from 2019 to 2025, organized by thematic approaches and analyzed using tools such as comparative matrices and Voyant Tools. In summary, the study concludes that the success of AI in higher education will depend on a comprehensive approach that integrates ethics, pedagogy, and technology. While the inclusion of this technology can personalize learning in HEIs, it also presents significant challenges. This scenario calls for a thorough examination of the responsible, inclusive, and pedagogically balanced use of AI in higher education. Therefore, the formulation of interdisciplinary strategies that address its complexities in a holistic manner is essential.Tipo de ítem: Ítem , El Futuro de las Organizaciones: Bienestar y Felicidad Como Pilares de Productividad y Eficiencia(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2025-09-09) Murillo Palacios, Pablo Antonio; Olaya Molano, Juan Carlos; Universidad Santo TomasHappiness is an insatiable pursuit of humanity; consequently, it is necessary to concretize the methodology to chart a roadmap that allows any human being to encounter this reality within and outside of organizations. This achievement can then permeate their work, creating a powerful combination that benefits not only the individual but also the collective to which they belong. For this purpose, research has been conducted based on the different perspectives of both contemporary authors and classical positions that laid the groundwork for today's achievements and what is sought to be evolved in the future. In this investigation, several models that have been implemented with excellent results were analyzed. Although the authors understand that each model is not an infallible rule to reach the desired goal, each organization should implement them according to its own needs. In conclusion, the various investigations, theses, theories, and empirical exercises have evolved in such a way that today we can speak of something like the management of well-being and happiness. More than trying to adapt to a trend or a fad, this should remain and continue to evolve to ensure that the asset represented by an organization's human resources becomes its most valuable asset, and to that extent, they produce the expected results. In this sense, the future of organizations consists of implementing and cultivating well-being and happiness to establish them as pillars of productivity and efficiency."Tipo de ítem: Ítem , Comparación de las Estrategias de Fidelización de Colsubsidio en el Servicio de Recreación(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2025-08-15) Pachon Bernal, Juan Andres; Zapata Bustos, Sebastian Ernesto; Novoa Buitrago, Luis Alfredo; Universidas Santo Tomás; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000870730; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9803-8362This monograph presents a comparative analysis of the loyalty strategies implemented by the Colombian Family Compensation Fund, Colsubsidio, in its recreation service during the periods before, during, and after the COVID-19 pandemic, covering the years 2018 to 2023. The main focus of this research is to understand how an organization of great national relevance, with extensive infrastructure and millions of members, was able to strategically respond to a health crisis that deeply affected the operation of its in-person services and its relationship with users. Founded in 1957 and recognized for its mission: “To generate opportunities for closing social gaps” (Colsubsidio, 2025), Colsubsidio has consolidated a broad recreational offering, including clubs, hotels, the Piscilago water and conservation park, and BLOC centers. The public health crisis that began in 2020 posed an unprecedented challenge for the entity, as it led to the temporary closure of its facilities, which in turn caused a sharp drop in occupancy and attendance levels. Faced with this situation, the organization was compelled to adjust its loyalty strategies, adapting to the new environmental conditions and the changing expectations of its members. The research was conducted using a descriptive quantitative approach. Data from Colsubsidio’s management and sustainability reports from 2018 to 2023 were considered to observe variations in the occupancy of services in the recreation sector. In addition, a systematic review of 14 academic articles related to loyalty strategies was carried out, providing a theoretical framework to contextualize the organization’s actions. The results show that, in the pre-pandemic period, Colsubsidio focused its efforts on strengthening infrastructure, diversifying services, and creating benefit programs. During the pandemic, the organization accelerated the digitalization of its processes, developed virtual platforms, online activities, and emotional well-being programs, successfully maintaining member engagement despite restrictions. In the post-pandemic stage, a hybrid model combining in-person and digital experiences was consolidated, environmental sustainability efforts were strengthened, and the service offering was segmented, which allowed for a progressive recovery of occupancy and profitability indicators. Among the most relevant conclusions, it is highlighted that adaptability, technological innovation, and continuous training of human talent were decisive factors in sustaining user loyalty and overcoming the challenges imposed by the crisis. As a recommendation, it is suggested to deepen the use of data analysis tools to personalize the offering, maintain and update loyalty programs, and continue strengthening both the sustainable approach and internal training. The research on comparing Colsubsidio’s loyalty strategies, analyzing its occupancy, shows that loyalty—understood as an integral and dynamic strategy—can become a key pillar for organizational transformation in contexts of high uncertainty. This experience provided valuable lessons for the Colombian recreation sector and for Colsubsidio, particularly in crisis management and in building long-term relationships with members.Tipo de ítem: Ítem , Plan de Negocios Gallery Gourmet(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2017) Panqueva, Angela Patricia; Reyes, Tatiana; Rueda Cupa, Vivian; Universidad Santo TomásTipo de ítem: Ítem , Signos Distintivos Semillero De Investigación SIEET(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2024) Herrera Gutierrez, Karen Melissa; Araujo Medina, Laura Lorena; Universidad Santo Tomás; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000070489; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001652662; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1069-2576; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0859-618XThis paper presents the co-creation process of the distinctive signs of the SIEET Research Seedbed, the Business Fair, and the Tomasina Showcase.
